Re: impulsive purchase: whitesell pirahna & paddling with k

You just can't compare the Whitesell boats to any other whitewater boats (aside from the Scamp, since it is basically a precursor of the Piranha). The Piranha is a can-do boat. Nolan opened up many runs with it and ran some stuff with the boat that were not repeated ...

Re: impulsive purchase: whitesell pirahna & paddling with k

Paddle the Scamp (Mohawk version of the whitesell 'pirahna') with my kids for years. They loved it - I loved it - we had fun! It died due to heavy use after years of 4th hand service. The hardest part was getting the triim right ...

Re: Mohawk Scamp & Vertige X for sale

I tried answering this ad using the phone number provided, but got a woman who knew nothing about it. In any case, I live just outside Ohiopyle, and would be interested in the air bags if you're willing to sell separately.

... 165# each.) And, related to that, as PaddlePower says, trim is important -- I prefer to run it a little bow-light, if possible. Yes, PAC, the Scamp is pretty much the same hull as the "Piranha" (known as the "Challenger" in composite). I've tried both the Rx version and the composite version, ...

Re: Whitesell Pyranha as a tandem?

I beleive the Mohawk Scamp was pretty much the same boat (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and I used one for a while when the kids were younger as a tandem. Worked for us as a lighter crew and have many fond memories of it. I think crew size willcome into play but definetly can tandem.

Re: Whitesell Piranha

... Clipper made a composite Piranha (and, I believe, changed the name to "Challenger") in the early '80s. It was my first solo boat. I also had a Scamp, but liked the composite hull much better. You won't find it on Clipper's web-site, or brochure, as it's no longer a current model. But I don't ...

Looking for dimensions and how to for a triple saddle...

Specifically the ones used in Captions. Going to instal one into my Scamp to make it applicable for different uses. I know it'll be wet with 2 in it, but I know it is functional for that. Thanks in advance!

It's pretty much the same hull, however. I raised the topic, cuz I have an old composite Piranha hull, which I'm in the process of converting. ...
