In praise of the Blackfly Condor
... think I was gonna die paddling an "aircraft carrier")---and much later boofing the big tan rock a third of the way down Wolf Creek rapid. Selway score card-- No flips/ no swims in an overloaded borrowed boat on river that's arguably above my pay grade. Dang. That Condor is a great boat! I can ...

Re: Need hard plastic D-ring source
SCORE! I spent 1.5 hours searching on the web for these before posting and struck out. Jenda may be the world's last source of these. So thanks so much.

Good score
Good score for a first ww canoe. I would define it as a "transition boat", a good enough hull that as a newbie you are going to pound to pieces without crying over your $. New paddlers in too $ hulls struggle to develop, spending ...

... old thick windowpane). I'd be tempted to layer dynel and kevlar and maybe carbon. If you have a someone who builds boats near you perhaps try and score some scraps (free). I've made a few paddle blades and they are functional but have helped me appreciate the work that goes in to a good blade ...

Seattle Area Paddling
There is a chance I may be able to score a day or two on a Seattle area river when I go out there later this year. I am looking at III-IV (East Coast scale  ) I would need to limit driving distance to less than two hours from the city. ...

Re: Most notable C1 conversion?
I have really enjoyed my Score which is the big brother to the Forplay - I've had other fun boats but they really required regular attention for me to stay comfortable in them, the Score is stable enough I can come back to it after months ...

... able to transfer those moves over to my Dagger Redline that I bought to replace the 4fun. I started in a rival, went to a l'edge, than wavesport score, to a 4fun and now in my superstar, redline and zen. I highly recommend the 2010 4FUN as well, it's really is a great boat.

Re: New Creek Boat!
... It's my first river running/creek boat C1 so i don't have much to compare it to as conversions go. Coming from paddling a L'edge, Rival, Taureau, Score C1 and 4FUN C1. Good review of the Karma as well as some others in this thread https://www.cboats.net/cforum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7969430" onclick="window.open(this.href);return ...

Re: C1 Remix conversion: Seat position
... and it can be adjusted while on the river. Once I've found the spot I cut a little bit of foam to make a more sturdy backrest. I've done this on a score, 4fun, zen and a similar idea on a tandem/solo caption. Doesn't need a lot of Velcro but if you don't have any it slides. You can use a flimsy ...

... 2010 3rd gen 4FUN and took it out for its first paddle today. I only have previous experience in C1's with a Liquid Logic Airhead and a Wavesport Score. I paddle a L'edge as an open boat. I hated the Airhead and the Score I have been paddling all this year and have been absolutely loving it. The ...

Re: Fluid solo large comparison
... let me know how you like the Karma! I don't really want to get rid of my L'edge but do like the skirted thing now that I've been paddling my score conversion. I wouldn't have enough room or use the L'edge enough to justify keeping it if I were to find a Creek/river-running conversion that ...

Jackson 4fun c1 for 200lbs paddler.
... I'm 200lbs and the max recommended kayak weight is 220lbs. Is this too close to the top weight range for a conversion. I've been mainly paddling a score c1 this season and was 220lbs at the start of the season. Im curious to see how a more modern c1 river play boat handles. Also I've been trying ...
