Shacho or Blink
I'm thinking about getting short solo canoe. I'm more of a river-runner than a playboater, but I want to be able ... Any thoughts on whether a Shacho, Blink or something else would makes the most sense. I've paddled (briefly) the Shacho a couple of times, but I haven't been in the ...

Open boat for a bigger paddler
... bikes quite a bit, and seems to like challenges, but still, a big guy. Short term question, I have a CC Bulldog, which I find super friendly at my 200 lb (90 kg) but I've got no sense of how it would work for a complete beginner at the higher weight. I can probably ...

Re: C1 stern squirt advice/critique

Thwarted?
Common sense had escaped me again so I put in centre thwarts in several short boats over time but... I put them over top of the pedestal seat, having notched it out. I thought I was stiffening ...

Re: Hip pads...
I sense an underlying difference in how people manage the boats under them. And I think it has ... be somewhere around 12 or 13 feet, with almost everyone opting for tight outfitting for short boats, and most accepting loose outfitting for long boats. For borderline cases, the ...

Trip Report on my week in Costa Rica with Esprit
It had been two and a half years sense I had taken more than a day or two off. The last time I had multiple days off ... and place we stayed was top notch. My only complaint was that the trip was too short. This was the second time that someone in the boating world had save me from ...

Yes, Kneal... I'm in for anything, the steeper the better. Make sense to hit the Savage Saturday because we're going to be right there. Hopefully ... well.
