Re: Time for a New Boat
... The Zephyr (Twintex) or Zephyr 2.0 (T-Formex) at 11'3" are similar to the Ocoee in length and also in its Hubbard-like design. Maybe also the Spark, which is bit longer and a different hull but depending on your paddling style it has potential. I think there are now better OC hulls than the ...

Re: Spark vs. Ocoee
FWIW, I paddled both and enjoyed both. If you slalom race at all, you'll favor the Spark but won't be outclassed in an Ocoee. The Ocoee is perhaps more versatile - people creek and playboat in them. I wouldn't turn either down...

Re: Spark vs. Ocoee
I think this boils down to more paddling style than paddler size. The Spark cab forward design demands continuous paddle from the front. It really dislikes stern corrections. The Ocoee is much more forgiving to us old school Bob Foote types.

Spark vs. Ocoee
... 5'4". ~140 lbs. Paddled an Ocoee for a few days last year at MKC. Based on what's available used in my area (Toronto), i'm looking at an Esquif Spark or Novacraft Ocoee. I liked the Ocoee and had a blast in it, wondering if the Spark may be a better fit, though? Any feedback appreciated. Thanks.

Trim in asymetric hull ?
Any advice on how far seat back should be from true center.
I know it's personal, just looking for a starting point.
The boat is a Wenonah Recon, kind of a real fat Spark.
Supposedly a Spark crossed with OutrageX
Thanks

Re: C1 & C2 Boating
I got into a C1 after paddling open boats (Mostly vipers and a spark, but also a Blackfly Delta). There is a pretty decent play hole downtown whitehorse, for part of the year which often coincides with the not many places to paddle time of year. I used ...

Comparing new OC-1 solos for 200+lbs
As a 200+ lbs paddler, for a long time it seemed there were no new boats for us (no thanks Prelude, Zoom, Spark, Option, etc.). Now I'm trying to compare the L'Edge & Octane 91 with Silverbirch's Rebel and Covert 10.5, Blackfly's Condor, and today I hear Esquif has a new T-Formex ...
