Used kayak conversion seat wanted
Looking for used kayak seat or outfitting from a conversion. I have a new Dragorossi Stinger that has the small seat. It's too cramped, and would cost way to much to import a larger seat. If I'm right, Riot seats will fit perfectly, but I can modify most any seat. ...

... style the Squirrel is worth having a look at and when driven from edge to edge is like a sports car creeker. Having had a chance to paddle both a Stinger and a Squirrel this month I have to say both boats are very fun, worth trying and will produce countless smiles.

Re: Jackson Karma Unlimited
On carving, the Stinger looks like it has a slimmer tail that might work better for faking upstream gate slalom moves.

Jackson Karma Unlimited
Has anyone converted one of these, or thought about it? I know that the Greenboat and LL Stinger have been done. It seems like the Jackson might be a little slower but might have a more primary stability, and it looks like it has more of an edge to the hull.

Re: Canoe Prototype and Test Hull Question
... ww hulls. Somewhere on the Liquid Logic site there may still be video of how they do a foam plug for limited production boats like the early Stinger. But you can't trial-paddle a foam plug, while a stripper canoe can be tried on the water, and then discarded if wrong.

Re: Help choosing a versatile canoe
... huge trade off between whitewater and flatwater performance with canoes, more so than with kayaks. Crossover kayaks like the LiquidLogic Remix XP/Stinger XP and whatever the comparable boats from Pyranha, Dagger, etc. are called will do a better job of cross dressing than a canoe will. When you ...

Re: Dragorossi Stinger
I have tried one out on the Black in NY. The conversion wasn't bomber and its been a few years, but I remember the volume distribution being great for wave riding and a little turbulent in holes. Its a nice surf/river runner in comparison to some of the really short playboats out there today. But th...

... runner kayak to C1. I would like something for surfing and playing around on class II and III. (I am 5' 7", 180lbs.) Today a Dragorossi Stinger came up for sale locally. I haven't found much info on this boat in the forums. There was one mention that it is a dedicated surf kayak? However, ...

Dane and I are in Green Boats and Jordan paddled a Stinger. I believe that it was Danes first time on a creek in the C1 Green Boat!

... company too. Actually (and somewhat coincidentally to the CSX name), this is where I currently work. Era Replicas My CSX comes from Cobra (OC1) - Stinger (C1) eXchange. A blend of both my old hull designs into a third. Took the prototype out for its first actual whitewater trial at T'Ville. Works ...

... Tentatively named either the CSX or the Scip, but I'm always open to suggestions. (The two "parent" boats were the Cobra and the Stinger, thus the C and S in the name.) I've already got the bow grab-loop divot. Now is the time to make something for the stern. My Makao has a very ...

It's my own mold of the "Stinger". I modified an Estanguet (circa early-90s) to get the final shape. I've paddled mine (the only one out of the mold) since 1998, when I won the World Master's with it. http://wwslalom.net/bob/paddling/wmc117.jpg ...
