Re: Long Lost C-Boater wondering: what to paddle?

... loved to paddle my zealot in gates in fairly mild water. I purchased a wide ride which I have loved as at 70 yrs old I like the stability in whitewater and find that I use the same leans to turn my boat and eddy hop. I also bought a used Hornet that has totally replaced my zealot in playing in gates ...

Re: Recommendation for river runner C1

... Someone else had posted an early Millbrook C1, and implied that it was a Wide Ride, though it was regulation long and pointy like an UltraFatBatMax or whatever. $75 about an hour east of the Deerfiled. It's on Facebook marketplace in case you want to risk chatting up your racist uncle and getting ...

... stretch).

Hornet is a "sporter" Cascade, and yes, a bit less stable.

Wide Ride might be better.

River Elf Storm Chaser might be another option depending on what you are looking for.

looking for a new boat

Every year I get older, my Cascade seems heavier. So I'm looking at the Wide Ride or Hornet from Millbrook but I can't find much info on either of these. I feel very stable in my cascade but want something lighter, but still easy and stable to paddle. Maybe even EASIER, less likely to flip than the ...

The Vertige X has been suggested but with a 33 inch beam, it may be a bit wide. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Kneal, I am thinking of doing a video or two, but my 71 year old left knee says it cannot be in the Zealot. Maybe the Wide Ride or my Millbrook Edsel.

Re: AC/DC review

Work on my old Wide Ride is excellent. And my Edsel is fine except where Connolly's mold was leaky. If your boats were pristine, they would cost twice as much. GITTEERDONE!

Most boat buyers have a funny attitude, wanting a polished hull like on a Liquid Logic and then taking it out and banging and ...

Later, I bought a Millbrook Wide Ride, a somewhat swedeformed c-1. Mostly it has handled quite well, but I've noticed that it seems to make me sit up a bit too straight, because of the cockpit position. The bow is a teensy bit too grabby.

Both of these c ...
