Re: Float bags for an Option
I wouldn't go smaller than 48" and I wouldn't buy NRS float bags. Yes they have a life time warrantee but that won't help you if they burst on the river.
I don't know about bomber bags. I love the idea and they look awesome but you pay for it.

There's often people with boats for sale. I wouldn't pause your search though. What are you looking for?

If someone credible has told you about durability, couldn't you just ask them when the material will be released???

Re: Winterizing my roylex boat
I think cold cracks are rare in any boat but I ve only ever heard of it happening in tripping boats. If you loosen the screws in the front and back 2-3 feet of a 16-17 ft boat fixes the problem, then there is still 10-12 ft of boat in the middle. Should be fine, right? It's anecdotal but I know a fe...

Re: Solo Canoe Advice.
Dude, are you going to go ask about every boat?? At 210lbs, you can paddle almost anything. The Ocoee is almost universally liked but you won't likely find a used one. With the cost, uncertainty of the new material and an newer designs, if you buy one new and ship all the way to the Yukon, you might...

Re: General Canoeing Technique Advice
I actually think it's the best technique video I have seen. The focus of the video is understanding and manipulating the 4 variables involved in carving turns independently and then eventually integrating them into your own technique. There wasn't actually any attempt to describe the forward stroke ...

Re: A bad break
L'edges obviously don't stand up as well as Options but it's unlikely that you would you know how many blackflys and esquif boats have been sold in the SE with any certainty. I m calling bullshitt, especially since the bullshitter is anonymous.
