I figured the T-shirt was part of it, since the post was gone. All in good fun, but I can see how peeps would get offended on the T-shirt (and comments) post. And sure me giving Gnarlz grief is part too, but oh well.

Not 100% sure if they would work or not on the Thule/Yakima gutters, but you could go with the Qucik N Easy mounts and make 2x4 crossbars. http://www.nrsweb.com/shop/product.asp?pfid=3200&pdeptid=1379 If you go that route and decide you want to go to a more conventional bar they have an adapter and ...

My humbling moment came with my first WW boat - a Cascade, about 3 weeks after I got it. I had one class II run in the canoe (before the skirt shipped) with no problem, but didn't love the foam outfitting in it. I pulled all the foam out and re-did it (saddle higher, further forward, etc.) and the g...

When I had a Dakota quad-cab, I used one of these and a receiver hitch mount for the rear. It worked pretty well with the Ocoee and cascade, and I've driven 700 miles one way with a 17' canoe on those. Not a permanent mount solution, but works when you need a bit more space. http://store.springcreek...

I don't think the prelude is a bad boat - far from it. But if the poster wants to move from class II/III in a MR ME (look the specs on that puppy up) to technical IV/V creeks quickly, the prelude might not be the next step ;)

Perhaps a reverse heyhole? Wider for the knees up front, narrower and longer in the bacK (kinda like the shape your legs are actually in while kneeling in an OC-1 or C1 ;)

Just trying to figure out how big a transition in stability you are facing. Both are great, but they are different boats. S'fly (pre L'edge) is arguably the best creeking OC and has much more initial stability than a Prelude. Prelude would carry a little more speed and accelerate more quickly and ha...

What kind of boat are you paddling now (re: stability profile, edginess, speed needed)? Short list would be the Spanish Fly or Prelude. Mohawk is working on a plastic Maxim, but not sure the price range or when exactly it will be out - should work withing your size range well though.

Why did a scene from American Pie just pop in my head?? :o

And more importantly, why so when I know what a sock puppet is?

Could have quoted other sources, but the "jawbone of an butt" has always been awesome ;)

FWIW, my wife and I are having dinner with Arun Gandhi on Thursday ;) Perhaps I can learn tolerance.

Yeah, yeah. Equipped with the stones.. classic. OK, I can pretend to be 12. My stones are sooo big that when I dip em in the river, they make an eddy even YOU could catch. But I do prefer to keep them dry, or well, warm at least, so I have no intentions of showing you my stones. I mean, you say you'...

I'ts out of YOUR league dude. Show us some clean runs...PLEASE. I'd love to believe you're even half as good as you believe you are. And yes...just moved to Tampa in June so there is no whitewater close by. Which is why I'm looking at C1s to play in the wakes of jet skis and power boats and the surf...
