I'd delete the posting for the Outrage X if I knew how...sorry about that.
Now looking for a Mad River Outrage with wood trim. Hull 10 years or newer. Not looking for a "project"...unless it's just outfitting.
Thanks,
MarkT

Re: Want to buy Outrage X
After input from boaters on the Forum...I'm now thinking standard Outrage. Any body out there with one...looking for wood trim if possible.
Thanks,
Mark

Re: Any real diff: wood or vinyl trim on Outrage X
I'm really impressed with the knowledge/experience y'all have. Thanks very much. I'm now planning to try a standard Outrage before looking more at the X...and hope to find one used with wood trim.
Thanks again.

Any real diff: wood or vinyl trim on Outrage X
Okay. After 12 miles of very very wet class II/III yesterday, I'm ready to get rid of my Viper 11. (I'm 225 lbs. w/o gear) I paddled my buddies X part of the way and liked it. He has wood trim and swears there is more flair with wood than vinyl. The Mad River site says the Outrage is good for people...

Re: Splash guard for Viper??
Great photos...especially of the canyon. By the looks of things I think my "V" of foam on the front deck might be the best I can do. Pat, you mentioned other boats you considered when you had an Outrage. Did you not consider the Outrage X? I've thought about one, but don't know anyone who has one to...

Splash guard for Viper??
Anyone figured out a way I can divert the water that comes over my bow and into my Viper 11 when running a rapid? I'm 6'5" and 225...before adding the gear I carry, so a bit heavy for this boat to start with I guess. I know I can quarter into the waves and avoid some...but I was thinking more of a "...

I have a Werner break-down paddle that I like and use, but I don't know if they still make them. Might try their website.
