Eli, the SRVCC Smith River Valley Canoe club will be doing our annual camp and run the 23rd through 25th FB9 Hot Springs C/G like to try some of the boats especially the new ones and the Big Dog too. We really enjoyed the last time you came to it.

They both are fine for what you seem to want,if playability is also in there the nitro does all of what you describe well plus you can surf the really big holes,Prices between the two would be a mitigating factor also

This boat will do it all from steep creeks to the big water runs.Exceptional surf machine forward ,backward,side and 360`s Only ones I know that need speed are the racers.Very stable platform for just about any river.
