Re: c1 sleepy foot syndrome...

she also mentioned that if it is possible to have toes touch behind saddle that it would be the very best possible scenario in terms of longevity of the knee itself, and having them splayed out to sides will greatly increase wear/tear over extended use.

Re: c1 sleepy foot syndrome...

if any mod. to saddle it'll be in the negative direction. had a nice chat with a friend 'and proffesional yoga instructor' today. it was her opinion that i might be abke to lower seat considerably if i could find a thin shim to place between calf and thighs. that this kneeling position in yoga is ca...

Re: shoe goo...

i have notices it to be a bit stiffer, so far the "loss of grip" has not made its appearance. the reason i'm experimenting on my drytop with this flavor of goop is two fold. 1. i would love to find an alternative to aquaseal which is VERY expensive, i realize in many situations you truly do pay for ...

Re: ONE piece of gear to make paddling more enjoyable...

how about shuttle vehicle? my 1990 f150 302 small block is a serious bear on the old wallet. if i could twitch my nose and magically transform something that works, but is a steady drain. my f150 would in stroke of a paddle become a late 90's model tacoma 4x4 , manual drive, 4-cylinders, 62,000 mi.,...

Re: C-1 "listing" or leaning to onside(?)

just to be very clear, im not advocating a position switch on runs, creeks, rapids that demand your fullness of ability. but for regular training sessions dedicated entirely to balancing out the development and overall toning of whole body. ezwaters comment, upon closer review, might have been comin...

Re: C-1 "listing" or leaning to onside(?)

my boats tend to spin-out a bit if i give a strong forward stroke and do not engage the chine somewhat, in agreement with above comments. also noticed the comment about paddle and muscular differential. i will often train in class II+ paddling offside only, switching to onside for move that start to...

shoe goo...

anyone care to point out why i should not be using "original shoe-goo" for repairs and gasket replacement? it seems to be working VERY well, with no appreciable qualitative difference to say aquaseal at about 10-20% cost! sure i might be testifying to my inexperience here, but seems like a no braine...
