It's called the Electro. Here's the link to see it in action:

Re: Hog's Back Falls anyone?
It'll be a mighty cold week for it- high of -9 on Friday! I've run hogs back, and I love it, however I'm always a bit cautious about the media coverage. I think it's great to highlight the sport, but on the flip side it draws attention to the fact that, well, we're running waterfalls and people thin...

I go Commando! Let the goose bumps and the awkward stares keep me warm.

ELECTRO Kids canoe
The Electro was indeed the Jimicup beer canoe. At the moment, it is a one off design. I hope to make it available to more kids somehow :D because, as you can see, it works rather well. It has been a perfect boat for Isaac and he has really developed quickly. I can't wait to see what next summer will...

Proud Dad, sweet ride...
The Electro has spent much time at Palmers. Some of the footage was taken there. It's a 3 year old design.
This boat is, I guess, the first and only whitewater canoe for the little ones, (5 and up). It's super stable, fast, dry and has training wheels!

Re: twist and crawl
I used to use ankle blocks. They not only occlude my pedal artery making my feet fall asleep, but they actually make the pain worse because they limit movement. I stopped using them about 10 years ago.

Re: twist and crawl
Would you perhaps be in the 'Masters' category? I'm finding at the age of 45 that Pains are creeping in and lasting where they never did before. My right ankle is the worst. After a fairly active season, I now have permanent pain and stiffness there. My knees have given me trouble for years. Do what...

Boots blow!
I must disagree with the boot lovers. Every drysuit I've owned with booties ends up leaking in short order because the feet take so much abuse. The booties are always uncomfortable when stuffed into a pair of sandals or other footwear. They fill up with water and can't be drained until you remove th...

Re: JimiCup C1 mind meld...
Okay, so sometime next summer let's do a single bladed mind meld on the Ottawa. I don't mind planning it as long as we keep it simple- no t shirts, no swag, no sponsors, no entry fees. Just chillin' on the river.

Re: JimiCup C1 mind meld...
Oh and Congrats on the little one. Mine is 8 now and we're having a blast! I've introduced Isaac to kayaking and canoeing with no bias and true to tree from which he fell, this apple seems to choose his open boat about 90% of the time.

Re: JimiCup C1 mind meld...
Would there be interest in some sort of C1 gathering on the Ottawa for next year? Maybe we can plan something with a bit more lead time.

JimiCup C1 mind meld...
JimiCup is July 21 at Smoothie on the Ottawa R. Will anybody be coming with their C squirt? Would anyone like to have a meeting of the minds- informal trading of skills in conjunction with the event? I'll be there with my Groove.

Re: Your knees will thank you!
I tried shaping knee cups too and shaping it out to my knee bumps. It didn't help because my trouble spot slides out of the way of the contour and minicell is quite rigid causing real discomfort. In fact I think the rigisity of minicell caused the problem in the first place. Life jacket foam is a pe...

Your knees will thank you!
I'm in my 30th year of paddling and I struck upon a 'why didn't I think of this before' idea this year. I have developed chronic tendonitis in my pitelar tendon from cranking my knees into a C1 for so many years- it's like a hot poker sticking in my leg sometimes. I tried donut rings, knee pads and ...
