Random Acts of Amusement
Hmmm...boated the local class IV/V creek (Weisse Lutschine) on Sunday in my new creeker. I think I like that boat (converted M3 243). I still haven't got it figured out (3rd time in it) but it certainly looks after me in heavy water better than the Wheelboy. :) Of course I also remembered that landi...

C1 Squirts for lightweights
Hiya I'm also 150ish lbs and have a Master Cut Acrobat and a Maven, although I can't really comment on the later yet since it's still in the "to be completed" list (but I get a new appartment soon with a garage that will rapidly become a workshop!). The Master Cut ACrobat will be a good squirt boat ...

Boats...
I almost forgot about that - boats! I've arranged for a Mohawk/Indian Canoe Rodeo and Probe 12. Additionally I have my Zoom, Jo has her Phantom (though you'll be hard pressed to get her out of it), and our Rampage Tandem, plus a converted M3 243 and a Wheelboy. Our friendly local Esquif importer is ...

Boat thoughts
Hiya WWWG I used to live in Ithaca, so I know the sort of creeks around you. The Outrage would work fine on all of them. If you need to demo one Cornell Outdoor Education has one, but I'm not 100% sure they'll rent it. If you know any of the instructors, however, they can probably get it for you. My...

OC1 vs C1
Very interesting thoughts here. I paddle C1 and OC1 (even C1 squirt - I got my first controlled boat fully-submerged (rib deep) 360+ degree rotation last week!!). I have different boats for different things and enjoy them all. I needed a new creeker recently - and I was really interested in the Taur...

Awesome!
Great to hear it Beereddy - I look forward to meeting you. If you need to fill the car for gas money, feel free to bring some buddies - kayak or canoe is fine by me if it gets more Cboaters here
Cheers,
Matt

Aquabound
I have a 3piece Aquabound breakdown. It seems to work pretty well, but I don't know about long term durability. Not as good as my Echo, Rought Stuff or Mitchell, but it fits in the boat....

Swiss Armada DETAILS
Gudda y'all, OK, it's about time I posted some details. Here's the plan: We meet at the KKS club hut "Bauertweidli" in the SImmental, paddle for a few days, hang out, tell tall stories, maybe drink some beer, eat some food.....is that good enough? No, well, how about a bunch of demo boats (Thanks Fa...

Travel info ....
Hi Bill It'd be AWESOME to have you here! Well, I don't know my travel plans the week before, but I can assure you it's easy on the train. Train connections in this place rock (see www.sbb.ch for schedules, fares, special options, etc.) Happy to provide more info and a bed before/after if you need. ...

Moose levels
Hiya Oci-One It's not just other weekends the levels can be unpredictable. I've been there for the fest and atleast twice we had too much water for my liking on the Bottom - good news is that the other sections get to be more fun. Of course - it did prevent me (my last 2 years in NY) from trying the...

Wheelboy
HIya Julian I'm c. 150lbs and have a wheelboy. It's not really too big for a playboat and it also makes an excellent river runner. I can get eddyline cartwheels and some flatwaters as well. That surprised me when I first got it, since I thought it would be too big. I've also run it down class IV-V a...
