I'll start.
On my first run on the Narrows of the Green, I ran Sunshine backwards and walked out of the gorge without my boat or my paddle.

Re: South Eastern First Descents, Overflow, etc.
What got me going on this was finding that Allan (or was it Robin?) was the namesake for the last of the Five Falls on Sectioon IV of the Chattooga. I mean really, how does one get the surname SOCEMDOG? My father is our family's geneaologist and I don't think he has ever seen a more radical surname....

South Eastern First Descents, Overflow, etc.
I've been trawling through AW posts and was wondering what Alan Singley and Allan & Robin Socemdog were paddling when they were running first descents of Overflow and Big Creek back in the day. Alan was apparently running first descents of Overflow in sections solo, with his dog on the banks of the ...

I think six beautiful cars get thrown into a more beautiful river ravine. Anyone know that river?

Re: Putting a new handle on a fiberglass Werner paddle
Thanks, Adam. I suspected as much. I'm just always looking for a secret thing that makes the solution more interesting than getting the obvious thing. Watching The Italian Job on Amazon Prime. Wondering if it's a good movie or not, and if Charlie's Angels is based on this because Michael Caine (Char...

Putting a new handle on a fiberglass Werner paddle
I know there are a million epoxies out there, just looking for a recommendation on which one to use to put a laminated plywood handle back on a fiberglass Werner paddle. I had bought a long paddle off some guy on ebay, and cut the shaft down to my liking, and turned the fiberglass off the plug end o...

Stohlquist Drysuit EXC condition Men's Medium
Stohlquist front entry drysuit, excellent condition. Men's size Medium. I canb't tell if this suit has ever been used. I've kept the gaskets powdered with French Chalk, and they're in impeccable shape. I've got it listed on eBay with a starting bid of $100, Buy It Now of $400. Offers inbetween enter...

Re: C1 & C2 Boating
I moved up to New York several years ago after grad school in Chicago. I had grown up in North Georgia running the Chattooga, LRC, Overflow, the North Chick, Ocoee, and Tellico pretty regularly. I've been off the water for more than a dozen years and now that I'm in the Hudson Valley, It's dawned on...

Re: My quarantine project!
Holy moses that's handsome. Funny when wood guys get some crossover action like this. I'm sure ash (or hickory) is the choice wood for gunwales because it's common in North America, you can find it straight, it bends, and it has incredible shock resistance. It's baseball bat material. Takes a lickin...

Re: Harmony Terrapin C-1 sprayskirt for sale or swap (SOLD)
For anyone who's interested, I solved my problem by selling that skirt to a guy in Oregon and accidentally finding slalom combi tops at level six on closeout for crazy prices: long sleeve neoprene for $40, short sleeve for $35. I figure if I don't want the top, I can just cut it off and I have a che...
