Re: Prijon Delirious advice

Not wanting to sidetrack this thread but I loved Prijon’s kayaks for c1 conversions.

Here’s someone’s else’s 210-220 pd padddler take on the LUV. Probably a kayaker.

Re: Boat Width/Stability vs Height

So we have Harry, an experienced ww boater I.e. he understands how a boat can move etc. who is also concerned about reach/cross strokes. Because you should gain ww canoeing skill quickly with your ww kayak experience you’ll be using cross strokes right from the get go. Plus at140 pounds you could al...

Re: Boat Width/Stability vs Height

I agree, the Vertige is a big boat. I use it for self supported whitewater river trips.
On the other hand, the Ocoee is a classic ww canoe. Definitely not a beginner boat but because you have ww kayak experience it might very suitable.

Welcome to OC1.

Cool suggestion. Worth a try, especially when you only need a little glue.

Re: Multiday Rigging

You should be able to search this forum for some information.

What kind of trips do you have in mind?

Do you already have a boat that you want to use?

I do 3-5 day trips, Vertige, saddle, big gear bag forward, smaller gear aft.

Galasport Pyrog slalom c-1

Galasport Pyrog (posting for a friend) Its a 4 m long competitive slalom c-1, made in Czechoslovakia around 2006 It weighs around 8 Kg (Deck is carbon with metallic burgundy finish) It is carbon fibre/kevlar (A new boat in this layup would be $2100) It has (unfortunately) never seen whitewater. (Yet...

Re: Blackfly Option roll

I’d look up how to roll an Ocoee because that boat is known to get hung up due to its sheer line shape.

Paddles do a under sweep with their paddle to first get the boat fully upside down.

Keep us posted.
