The boat cracked on Bayless on the Upper Green. I must have hit a rock in the perfect spot on the bow (right where the seam is) causing the crack (about 4 inches long). It was not a hard hit at all.

Not sure yet about the warranty. I'll let you know what happens.

Spanish Fly in my opinion is a better all around boat. Plus the rotomolded plastic boats hold up better in my experience (yes I cracked a Taureau after paddling it only 6 times).

This is something I've been thinking about recently, and the new Keen Payette looks awesome! I would have to try it on to see if you could fit your toes under foot braces (ofcourse this is key for lots of open boaters). http://www.keenfootwear.com/product_detail.aspx?sku=1116 This is what's really i...

Jottsee, my galasport 2 piece breakdown fits fine in my Taureau and Quake. I think it was $50 or $60. It's not as nice as the Aquabound breakdown, but i figured I probably wouldn't use it much so no need to spend the extra coin

I use a galasport breakdown in my Taureau and Quake. Aquabound makes a nice one too. You have to call and order both.

From my experience, the Twin Tex does not hold up well on the class 3/4 rivers that I paddle in the southeast.

Too bad cause it's a very fun boat to paddle!

Trey, as Adam would say, "open boat, open beer!" Thanks for posting and it was good to see you on the river that weekend!

My wife didn't like seeing me in that light as much as my buddies did! :D

Carl, I may have a line on a very nice red probe 12 2 in Knoxville (airbags and all). Let me get back to you on it. Also, if you're paddling on the Nantahala this weekend you may be able to call NOC and reserve a boat to demo (rent) they charge $40 or something. It might be better to pay the $40 vs ...

Looking for a Spark to buy (interesting trades also)

Anyone have a Spark for sale in WNC?

Depending on shape, I have a Taureau that I would trade even for a Spark.

I also have a nice Quake and Cascade (w/ new snapdragon skirt) I would consider as partial trade.

Let me know if anyone has one to get rid of.
