Mike, I was chasing it the whole time, so don't be too impressed. I had been in the boat 5 minutes, and it was the first time I had been there. I was there with 3 friends who had been there before, and one was just sitting there in that huge eddy to the right (river left) of the hole doing nothing i...

Very Nice Dagger Ovation on e-bay (Sold now)
Not my boat, never seen it other than on the site, but very nice. Wood gunnels, un-outfitted, reportedly never in the water, just a few scuffs from storage. I've told a few friends about it, but figured someone here might jump on it. http://cgi.ebay.com/Dagger-Ovation-Whitewater-Canoe-Kayak-Raft-Whi...

OK...pretty much made up my mind early this morning after thinking about it all night, and confirmed it this morning when I found out the Outrage was sold :( . Definitely gonna go with the Ocoee :) I've swam part of Double Z on the New, so the swims around here should be a piece of cake (where...

Re: ?
What are you comin out of ? I've paddled an Ovation and an Impulse more than anything else as far as WW goes, and played a little bit with a Cascade. I've got a strong sense of balance and I'm pretty athletic (I run 1/2 marathons) and I don't mind a challenge or an ocassional swim. I've seen a frie...

Thanks!
Thanks for the input I've received so far. I'm still kind of pondering my decision on this one. I know that in the long run, I'll probably want the Ocoee. Two things I forgot to mention: 1) I live in eastern NC, so I have about 1.5 - 2 hours to drive to get on any white water, and about 5 to 6 hours...

Ocoee or Outrage as first WW OC-1?
I'm looking at these two boats as possible purchases, but wanted to see what you guys think of the boats. I am 6'3", and my weight is generally between 190 and 200 lbs. dressed for paddling. I have paddled flatwater boats a lot for the past 5 or 6 years, a glass boat with a shallow arch. I've run it...

Rolling c-1
I'm pretty new here and very new to C-1. I've paddled flat water canoes for years and have run in class II & III in an open tandem, but got tired of feeling like I was padlling a truck through the rapids (and I've patched some serious dings in the f-glass a few too many times). I picked up a Cascade...

Dagger Outfitting Question
I am getting started on outfitting a Dagger Cascade with a Dagger/Percection saddle installed. I've pulled all the foam and actually pulled the saddle out as well to make it a little easier to get things done. On to the question. I have the foam off, but need to get some foam residue and the old adh...
