Re: Just an idea...

Thanks Great idea - If people use it. Maybe a different slant may be a generic calendar that has the event listed in the month it usually takes place and a link to that events webpage. That way it could be set up and used yearly. Not sure if Paddle events all take place around the same time each yea...

Re: First C1 Playboat

I have a Monstar and I am 6ft 220lb and I love it. My son has an allstar and he loves it. I can even fit in the Star- which ever one is the smallest one. (but only in the pool) way too funny.

Re: A twelve-step program -- then RECOVERY !!

Hi OC Ender You have paddled with YT Canoe who is in Nelson. I am Yukon in Whitehorse. YT Canoe and I have paddled togethor on some good runs including 2 weeks in Mexico. The L'edge and other small boats do make some things easier to do and are more forgiving in many ways which allows you to paddle ...

Re: A twelve-step program -- then RECOVERY !!

Agree with some of your points for sure Pat. Having a plastic boat does not make you any better boater than owning a Porsche makes you a race course driver. However it does open up a different kind of paddling and rivers. Which I am sure the West Coast/Vancouver Island has lots of. Mind you a lot of...

Re: A twelve-step program -- then RECOVERY !!

Roscoe why do you think that is? There is so much great paddling around Vancouver. You seem to be the main one down there pushing things in an open boat. There from a far seems to bit of a lull after Tyler Elm left Van. I paddled down there lots 92-94 and need to get back. Now that I have a Spanish ...

Re: Dagger Whitewater Canoes are coming BACK

Now I am really confused. I received a press release today from Jackson Kayaks stating they were very happy to be welcoming Craig to their design team and further went on to state how excited they were of the opportunity to merge the Worlds Best kayaks with Open boat design with hopes of furthering ...

Re: PFD Reccomendations

The closure on the old Astral Green Jacket SUCKS. It does not close and open easily and does not reliably stay shut. All it takes is having a pair of sunglasses or digital camera fall out during a swim to more than make up for the cost difference. It you lose some other piece of critical rescue gear...

Re: PFD Reccomendations

The Hydralics looks like a nice vest.

The Green Jacket does not have shoulder straps directly connected to the waist belt.

Re: PFD Reccomendations

http://www.whitewater-safety.com/our-products/full-on-vest/ Hydroscapes makes an awesome pfd however they are crazy pricey. They have a unique system that tightens your waist belt as you pull on the shoulder straps. I have one of their early models and very much like it. I need to fix the pocket zi...

Re: will trade to get a spark

hey Paul I have a Spark in Ottawa that is sitting there, It does need gunnels and drings glued in. Hull is not too bad of shape (little bit soft but not too bad). perhaps we can work something out. I only need access to a canoe when i get out East which at most may be once a year or every two years ...
