I guess I should update my comments since that first post last year. I ended up selling the greenboat after a few more runs. It wasn't too tippy (for a narrow kayak conversion), but it did require a great deal of off-side and correction strokes when moving at full speed in class 1-3 water, which is ...

Mr. Debris, what kind of level are we talkin about lately? Do you expect a normal 100%, or slightly more, or is there chance it will be low like last year? Also, any predictions on whether it will run on a Tues, Wed, Thur in the weeks leading up to the race? (I could make it down for some practice r...

I've paddled the burn and the remix quite a bit (medium burn and the remix 69). Very similar boats, both make great conversions. remix was a little faster, burn turned a little easier. other than that, very little difference. if I were planning on running more vertical stuff, I'd get the burn, more ...

You might try West Systems epoxy. It's relatively easy to use, and gives you a bomber attachment that is pretty much permanent. Don't inhale.

I don't know much about tidal flows, and I'm sure there are some folks here with more big wave experience, but here's a few thoughts if you're just getting started: -Most big wave surfing is very safe (compared to creekboating or playing in pourover holes). - Make sure you have a 100% roll so you do...

c-1 creekin action, bring some dramamine
Here's a link to a couple of c-1 headcam videos. I'm still working out the kinks of this camera, so it's very poor-quality footage even after a lot of editing. (Camera was tilted on the helmet at a bad angle). You can still get a sense of what Decker's creek looks like from the paddler's perspective...
