Re: Cracked Taureau

we taped the nose of one that cracked pretty badly with vynal mastic. Seem to stick to the material just fine.

welding would be better if you can figure it out. try to find Eli Helbert, and ask him his thoughts on the subject.

Re: Kneeling thwarts

We have them in a caper I believe they saved my brothers fiance's life. We were paddling, I in the stern, she in the bow, and she had a seizure. they kept her from falling out of the boat. thankfully we were in slightly moving water on the nantahala, and I was able to paddle to shore pretty easily j...

Mather Gorge (Potomac River, below Great falls).

Park at old anglers in, paddle up C&O canal, then paddle down Mather Gorge. No shuttle required.

Re: Pumps

One aspect I have always loved about paddling, is that it's an individual sport. we all have our own personal goals, limitations, and equipment preferences.

I like it that way.

Nice job chumming for this thread! haha

Re: IR Dry Suit for sale $375

Hey Golder- Once I get back into regular winter paddling, I will get a new dry suit.

Just letting go of a couple things collecting dust, in hopes that others can get some use out of them!

IR Dry Suit for sale $375

IR Double D Good used condition size large. spray skirt tunnel, relief zipper, booties. Gaskets work. I'm 5' 10" and it fits me well with room for layers. My feet sometimes get a little moist. Not sure if it's from pinholes, or just perspiring. I've paddled in very cold temps and it was never enough...

Re: Esquif Prelude vs Mohawk Maxim

I've spent a good amount of time in both. My main issue with the prelude is that I like to run a low saddle on short boats, and the bottom of the hull is too narrow. I could never get my knees as wide as I like them to be. I like the feel and performance of the Maxim's hard edges/chine. Generally, t...
