Hey Golder,
Our Caper has a solo saddle in the middle, and two "kneeling thwarts".
It's a great whitewater fishing boat.
Good luck, it's at Sals house, let me know if you want to look at it.

Re: Very sorry to hear this news from yesterday at ALF
Sad news indeed.
Steve put forth great effort to travel to the SE for an epic boating trip. I hate to see it ended this way. I hope everyone at ALF will dedicate a run, a boof a rock spin, or awesome line to this guy.
Praying for his family and friends.

Re: ALF/Pre-ALF Workshops
I too recomend Eli. He is an excellent Canoe teacher. He is good at catering to your specific needs. When I took a class with him, I did not have anything particular I wanted to work on. But knew I wanted to improve my skills. He was able to identify things I could work on regarding form, and provid...

Kokatek Union Suite $50
I have a fleece Kokatak union suite for sale. Size large, but fits somewhat snug. (I'm 5/10 190 lbs, and fits well). It's in very good condition. has front zipper that zips up from the bottom, and down from the top. So comfy, that once you put it on, you wont want to take it off all winter long.

I'm fairly certain that my h20 paddle has the small grip (bought paddle used)
I'd highly recomend going large..

Dale has a lot of embarassing footage of me, but here is just one clip. Can you tell that I was not comfy offside in a hole at this point in my paddling career?

Re: While paddling a canoe I prefer to keep my feet...
When outfitting, I install so that the bottom of the footpeg is 2 inches off the hull. this allows for more room with toes under, but you can also keep them pressed against the pegs. Saddle height has a dog in this fight too. I find it more comfy to keep toes under when running a low saddle. someone...

Ultra clean shell forsale $75
I've got a perception ultra clean shell for sale. I used to run it C1 and it was a great boat. it's well used, oil canned (which can be pushed out with proper outfitting), but does not leak, or have any holes in it what so ever. It has the lap belt in it, kneepads, and I will include a pedistool tha...

Great video Alex! I've wanted to run Tallulah for a loooong time.
Eli's center line at Oceana was something else! Haven't seen video of an open boater taking that line yet!

another thing
it might be psychological, but a wooden shaft doesn't feel nearly as cold when paddling in the winter. Which is nice for me because I prefer to not wear gloves or pogies. I agree with the flex comments. I have a friend that has a wood carbon premier who might sell his. I believe it's a 56" in very g...
