"Best creeker for technical WW I've ever used, easy to paddle, very forgiving, boofs everything, not very fast but stays on line very well, very easy to correct mistakes."

So just how slow is........
......the Stomper 90 as a C-1? Actually, any comments about how that hull handles would be appreciated.

Re: Custom Bag Preference
I paid $110 each for 54" Esquif bags and took advantage of Shawn Alexander's Christmas special and bought a pair of 60" nylon bags for $225 (regularly $250, I think). Fall Line Canoes' Bomber bags are far superior and in the same ball park for price.

Decide on the boat you like and buy it empty and get Matt Todhunter at Ridge Spirit Outfitting to make you a custom saddle.

Re: New Millbrook boat for wife - Flashback vs. Shacho
At the expense of thread jacking I recall a while back there were mumblings about a Millbrook Armada. How about someone take the lead and get it rolling (in a new thread).

Re: Float bags for an Option
From Bomber bags you don't have to get the bag covers if you don't want to spend the big bucks. I recently bought a set of 60" nylons from Shawn and they were no more expensive than any others out there and much better built.

Re: Float bags for an Option
Get Bomber Bags from Shawn Alexander at Fall Line Canoes. Custom for that boat. You won't regret it.

Re: t-formex
Not trying to make an argument here, but I think abrasion is far worse on composites than impact. I bought a used Composite Creations open boat from some folks that had paddled it mostly on shallow class II runs and a good bit of the gelcoat was gone and the cloth abraded through in several places. ...

Re: t-formex
Nova Craft Ocoee, Esquif L'edge lite, any Blackfly boat, and Sacho and Inferno by Millbrook are all the same price + or- a hundred bucks or so. Composite open boats are not more expensive than thermoplastic or Royalex. Slalom, race boats are another story and a comparison to them would be an apples ...

Re: t-formex
I think we too easily get side tracked about canoe materials and lose focus as to why boats are breaking. Years ago Frankie told Jim Little that, "those boats (Dagger Ocoee) just aren't made to do that!" Shorter boats of better design have allowed great paddlers to push the limits of the sport and b...

Re: Not my boat (millbrook?)
I just looked for more info on the MJM in the boats archives and there is nothing there. Now might be a good time to add it to the list with Longboatin's good pics.
