I just used a can of contact cement, the lable said best results at 65f. you'd probably be ok within 10 degrees of this. IMO I used it in my basement and it's not that warm down there, 50ish just lengthen the drying time, and be sure to ventilate if indoors, its very volatile stuff

zoom saddle location

As I put in my previous post my zoom is factory outfitted. The back of the saddle,(it is shaped like an h)is 64 inches from the bow. This measurement is to where your butt would go, not the rear of the foam. The knee pads are 48 inches (to the center of them) from the bow. The boat seems to handle f...

At the center;just in front of the pry pockets,23 at the uppermost point,28inches just below at the widest point of t...

missing the (t) after the ? in the web address. If you insert it you'll get the link to onside and offside roll, the guy makes it look effortless. As for me I have trouble just with my onside roll, never mind the offside http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adHrpKnyAgs sorry ;it worked once but not a seco...

best boat for oc1 newbie

Christian, see about one of the millbrook boats. Occasionally they can be found used at a good price. Not the best for shallow water or creeks, but they are remarkably tough, and light. many models to choose from. I'll have my Hooter with me at ALF in a few weeks if your wife wants to test paddle it.

Its good to be in between the plateau and the smokies. I will be hoping to find a good mix of class 2- 4 options for the pickin...

Dat sho is one uuugly boat!

For gunwales try to stay away from the straight grain fir,its pretty soft and if they get beat up any you'll get some nasty splinters. You could try some straight grained mahogany, or bite the bullet for some ash. Longer pieces can be spliced together from two shorter ones;shallow angle with gorilla...

ALF Camping ?

Hi All, Just looking forward to Tenn. in March. Hoping to find a campground near Lenoir City, where I'd find some other c-boaters. Maybe Soaring Eagle as Louie suggested? Other options folks? Lets hear it.
