Re: rolling the CU-Fly

Yes the Cufly helped my roll so much. If forces good technique. With the Cufly you really have to keep your head down and really hug the front deck. A smaller/thinner PFD can help. I love my Cufly for what it does and is blast in the our play hole

Blackfly Delta or Big Dog Kaos

... at this point in time. Pelly needs(wants) (ok I want) a boat for the Canadian Nationals and thinking of one of these instead of sending down my Cufly for him. He is 150lbs and ripped, starting to really learn to use his strength to throw things around. Eli any thoughts? Want a boat he will not ...

Re: Option as CC Bulldog alternative

Thanks for the replies, I hope to be able to try some boats at ALF.

cheajack, I'm familiar with the CUfly and the Spanish Fly, but I'm drawing a blank on the Super Fly. Was/is it an upsized Spanish Fly, or something completely different?

Stable while right side up can equal stable while upside down.

Re: Maximum weight for CUFLY?

leclercraven- I may not be the best person to comment on it since my roll is kinda shaky sometimes but it is tougher to roll than my old outrage and much tougher than my converted Fun C1. Not that its impossible, just unforgiving of my sometimes imperfect form! On the plus side- since it is so stab...

Re: Taureau 'surfability'

If you have no problem rolling the Taureau you wont have one with the Cufly. Its not bad to roll as long as u keep you head down. There is no comparision between the playability between the Taureau and the Cufly. The Cufly is a surf machine. I have both.

Re: Taureau 'surfability'

leclercraven - The Taureau is not the boat you seek. I am indeed looking for some kind of surf boat. Martin Talbot is selling his CUfly, and I am interested, but I have read somewhere on CBoats that this boat is hard to roll and that kind of scared me. I know that for a bit more $, I could ...

Re: Taureau 'surfability'

... a good playspot. The taureau will surf, maybe even spin! but its a creek boat and wont be fun for long. There are much better boats for play. The CUfly will be a world of difference from the vision56 you tried out, thats a hard cboat to learn to play in. CUfly would be much better than the taureau. ...

Re: Maximum weight for CUFLY?

... oc-1's though. Still a lot of fun to paddle and a short plastic boat comes in handy when the river gets boney! Not the first time I hear that the CUFLY is hard to roll. How hard is hard? I'm mean, when you're playboating, you flip a lot... and not being able to roll is not a good thing! I'm considering ...
