... (and I'm talking about the race-legal WildWater race boat skegs here, not the sea kayak version), but I'll let you know if I ever get to paddle an Ace III with a skeg, or a Bala without one:). Open boat wise, in my flatwater experience I've felt a difference, mostly with inexperienced bow paddlers ...

... you find out otherwise please let me know!) it is an older design than the Bala / Noname / Mezzana series, perhaps of the same time frame as the Ace? The images in the C-Museum are from europe, I believe (NZMatt was looking at the boat, I think, though I could easily be mistaken...we have A LOT ...

... molding should suffice. If its the boat I'm thinking of, its quite nice, and may be a Rook-Schmidt built Bala. Either way, its tippier than the Ace 3. If I had a choice, I'd take the Bala over the Zastera No-Name. (Similar (in)stability, but No-Name has some handling quirks, at least at 155-165 ...

Ace III Wildwater Boat for Sale / trade?
Ok, as I"m being tempted by Wayner to upgrade my Wildwater Boat, I'm getting rather serious about offloading the Ace III (which I hear is MORE stable than the Noname...I don't know what I'm thinking...). $200 OR interesting trades. Aerobat, Wide Ride, Ameoba and Fink are boats ...

... looking for what I need or that surly, unhelpful employee who will only tell me that he doesn't know or it is not stocked. Going to the local Ace Hardware is so much less healthy, heck I can hardly get my heart rate up into the aerobic range, what with the little old lady who knows the exact ...

interchangabal outfitting
... (currently a kayaker). he wants a outfitting job that he can change from k1 to c1 on a regular basis. Any suggestions? the boat is a Wave Sport Ace (not the best in my opinion) and because it is going to go back and forth no permanent changes can be made (i.e. no new holes, no cutting out thigh ...

ABS Uh Oh
... Royalex canoes had worked very well for me. The materials and process had been as follows : *canoes rinsed clean, wiped with alcohol *acetone from Ace Hardware *mainly white ABS, some black mixed in more recent batches *putty applied in the evening or in the morning - hadn't gotten too hot yet ...

Ace III Wildwater Boat for Sale
... some of the "newer" designs that may be coming in to the US for the BIG WildWater event...and I need more room for "proper" museum boats  . Ace III, brought to the US for the '87 Worlds on the Savage (yes, 87!). VERY light race layup, but no leaks. Still serviceable and raceable. Willing ...

It's a Brancale

Many people (myself included!) made composite copies when the originals were no longer available. Many of the makers of composite ...
