Thanks Wayne,

After looking at the pics again it is a very committing line. It looks like the place where you would wash over the big drop if you blow the entry would land right on the rocks.

Maybe next time you can get video.

Wicked line! Respect

Sweet line, did the first person to do it seek it out, or did some poor soul blunder in there only to wash out and go " Wow! That was cool?

I wish I were closer, with at least 100 runs at the same level I have always wondered what a low water run would be like. It always looked like it would be a lot of fun.

So much for the serial # logic. I don't know how I ended up with one of the light ones but I am glad I did. One of my paddlin buds who is real light weight anal ordered one after trying out mine. He was real dissapointed when he got his and it was 10# heavier. He was trying to get Esquif to mold him...

I guess putting money up front before the boats were done really paid off for me. Mine is # 10 and it is one of the 6mm thick hulls instead of the 7mm. It is a factory open version and weighs 49# ready to paddle with no pump. At 6mm the plastic still looks thicker than my Pyrahna Prelude, it weighs ...

FWIW Mrs Kanur and I are just over 300# together and find the Blast pretty good in the technical stuff. In a play hole 360's are almost automatic :D

I'll second that it is a very easy boat to give noobs a ride in.

Mrs Kanur and I were looking for a new tandem boat earlier this year, something shorter and more responsive than our old ME. After an Esquif rep let us take Blast downriver at our local slalom race we were sold. It is very stable, dry, and carves like it is on rails. The stock outfitting is very adj...

Hi Randy, PJ's Prelude was like what you describe when I put ash gunnels on her boat. You can clamp and attach them so that you get every thing even from side to side and front to back using the lowest part of the hull's edge to start. Any plastic sticking up higher than the gunnels can then be sand...

Every Run, Every River, I will back ferry somewhere. I don't even think about it, it's just another skill like a peelout or eddy turn or a low or high brace ect, ect.

Ok I konow that very body that tryed it love it... But since it is so stable and so predictable, don't you find it "dull", not lively or sporty?? just asking! A lot of us that are commenting on the stability are coming from paddling Preludes, Zooms, and Skeeters. Very unstable boats. The L'Edge is ...

Kelvin, Rest assured the L'Edge is a high performance boat (one of the best OCers in the world has confirmed that in his review of the boat on this site) and the width should not be a problem for you. As for as boats in it's class (Quake, Skeeter, Flys, Prelude, Teareau) as far as speed is concerned...
