An infa-red heat lamp bulb and a cheap clamp on aluminum style holder works good for getting a good even heat for repairing dents. I shape the end of a short piece of 2 x 4 to the profile needed and tap it out with a hammer. You can then used the flats of the board to smooth out the outside of the h...

WOW! FullGnarlzOC there is no question that you are well on the way to being one of the best ever. But you are at a crossroads, you can be a Corran or a Dooley. I hope you make the right choice. Either way you are still putting most (almost all) of us to shame and you are going to be the future face...

you can make them out of thick cutting board type plastic... just make a 45 degree block and countersink some screw holes... bolt em right on. Thanks, I hadn't thought of a cutting board. I was thinking of aluminum. The peg position in the L'Edge has been a very nice surprise. I have never had pegs...

Looking for foot peg help
Years ago I used to see a foot peg extension that fastened to the front of a Yakima style foot peg that changed the angle from verticle to something close to a 45 degree angle. In my new L'Edge with the pegs lower and being able to adjust them way back I'm thinking I might like to try a set of these...

To get the thread back on track, I prefer open. For starters I just plain like the looks better. Having had decked OC's (Skeeter, Spanish Fly) they were always a pain to dump water out of. Decked or open you are going to get water in them so it may as well be easy to get out. The open version is als...

Hey NW guys, if you have ever been in a Fly and like the way the hull performs just order a L'Edge and you will never regret it. I owned a Spanish Fly years ago and loved the hull shape but did just not like the looks, wetness, and difficulty of dumping water. The open L'Edge solved all those issues...

As someone who has installed a few sets of wood gunwales I can tell you that on this boat it would be money well spent to buy it already done. If you even remotely think you want a L'Edge just buy the darn thing and never look back. You will instantly be a better paddler and will never regret the co...

Re: L'Edge Review after test run on Green Narrows
Final Thoughts: This will be a paradigm shifting canoe. It is plastic but unlike the fly it looks like a traditional canoe and unlike the prelude it is incredibly stable. On top of that, it should be more durable than either boat and it seems to have an almost magic ability to glide over holes. Thi...
