Re: WTB: Mad River ME or Synergy G/C
Thanks for the offer. A Genesis might work decently for my purposes. I'm trying swing a deal on a nice ME in Asheville but arranging transportation to Knoxville is a problem. Even so, I wouldn't see this in NY for a couple of months at ...

Re: WTB: Mad River ME or Synergy G/C
Would you consider an old Genesis?
It's my husbands "well loved" 1st Genesis.
Needs air bags.
He did a repair (don't think he used G Flex).
He isn't asking much.
Boat is in New Jersey.

As suggested above, either a H2PRO (if you can find one) or a Dagger Genesis would take your weight with no issues at all. Re: Vertige X as a solo for a 290 lb. paddler
... find the Vertige X (or Caption or Probe 14) too much boat, but if you could get away in a Vertige or Outrage X, or older big solos like H2Pro or Genesis, you might want to look at some in that 13' range. There's nothing wrong with the Vertige X solo, but it is what it is - a 14' tandem is a lot ...

... boats in the neighbourhood. Unfortunately the club mentality doesn't really embrace change - when somebody showed up in a Quake, people in H2Pros, Genesis, etc., paddling with straight blades, insisted on mocking it as a kayak. Though I don't have a L'Edge, I too want to thank Craig/Esquif for ...

Re: Dagger Whitewater Canoes are coming BACK
I suggest some Dagger related boat names. No more stuff like "Rival" that sounds like pooch food, or "Genesis" that forces biblical concepts on hapless paddlers. How about... Dirk Shiv Boxcutter Pigsticker Skinner Hidescaper Switchblade (for AC/DC folks) Longknife Hacker OK, ...

... 80 pounds of gear in it to help sink the boat down a little more in the water. Empty, I felt the Recon wasn't as responsive or as likeable as my Genesis--the boat I use for solo tripping. A brief trial (15 minutes) doesn't do a boat justice though, so don't put much stock into what I say here. ...

Re: Wenonah RECON ?
... Viper 12). For a bigger, more stable boat that tracks well and is good for tripping and teaching, there's already lots of old boats out there (Genesis, H2Pro), and even newer "Impulses", like the Vertige, or try the Blast, so I don't think the Recon adds much to this already crowded niche. ...

Re: Dagger Genesis for sale
The boat is back in NJ with it's owner. It has a crack approx 12" long on the keel, very visible from the exterior, but not seen on the inside. The boat has a leak somewhere. A tube a G-flex would fix these problems I think. If you want, pm me and I'll hook you up with the owner. Thanks.
