Re: time to set up my new OCtane91
How did you get your mini cell so smooth? Looks way nicer than I've ever been able to accomplish with a "sureform", and sand paper.-M -

Re: time to set up my new OCtane91
Super clean job Harry! I just talked with a buddy who mounded his switch in the same position. He reiterated what I had remembered. He kept inadvertently hitting it. After much frustration, he moved it to behind the saddle. It looks so cool.....I hope that your experience is different. -M-

Re: Big Dog OC 1 Prototype
Shweeet! It looked like a dry ride. Can't wait to see more. It would be cool for our brothers on your side of the pond to have a "locally produced" Short plastic" traditional looking canoe". Love seeing this!

Big Dog OC 1 Prototype
I saw a nice video of it on Vimeo. It's shot from the boaters perspective, and doesn't show the boat really. It was posted 2 months ago. Does anyone have any information about such a critter? Thanks-M-

Re: time to set up my new OCtane91
That's gonna look awesome on the river while pumping! I chose to run mine high, straight out of the back. Looks cool I'm told, but can't confirm that . I mounded the pump behind the saddle, with the battery box with switch, above on a ledge I have cut out of the back of the saddle. Out of the way, a...

Re: Alaska
Rafting the Nenana River ,and watching the safety boaters, got me interested in whitewater some 30 years ago. After that trip, I never looked at a river again, without thinking about how I might run it. Alaska Rocks! -M-

Beautiful lines on the new Octane out of the aluminum mold! I wonder why Jeremy moved the thwart placement? Mine has them midway between the ones at the seat , and the deck plates. Seems to really keep the hull rigid.-M-

Brother, Unless you are a giant, you should be able to carve away plenty for a good fit. I'm a short 220 and barely had to cut away anything. Less is more.-M-

Re: Looking for solutions for reinforcing a Prelude's hull
I guess" forever", is a long time. I'd say you can at least put the welder in the attic under the Christmas ornaments, and not worry about it for a long time .I've been abusing my Octane for 2 years now . No worries.
