Hi guys - this boat is still available. If you are interested, we can provide free transport up to western MD/DC during memorial day (May 23-25) and likely out to Colorado around fibark (June 18-21).

River Elf Road Trip
Hi C-Boaters, It's time for us to finally get out of the shop and back on the River!!! We can't make it to the armada next weekend, but we are planning a trip up to Western MD/DC during the Memorial Day Weekend and we'll be bringing two Medium Storm Chaser C-1's and our new Storm Rider K-1 along wit...

Re: Marking the centre line in a boat?
Take measurements inside the boat from the deck/hull parting line (or seam) across to the side of the pillar. Do this on both the left and right sides. If your pillar is in the center and the boat is symmetric, the measurement should be the same on both sides. If they are not, adjust your pillar (le...

River Elf Storm Chaser M/L - blem - reduced to $1649 - SOLD
Hey Ya'll :D We have a M/L Storm Chaser that we've recently posted on our website for sale. It's fully outfitted including hipblocks - so its ready to hit the water without any extra work. The boat has been discounted due to the deck being a cosmetic blem that required an external epoxy paint job ov...

Re: River Elf Storm Chaser
Hey John - no worries whatsoever, I didn't take your original post as negative in any way at all. I sincerely appreciate you sharing your experiences when designing the Torrent C-2's and the complexities of C-2 design in general. My brother (and business partner) Trevor and I raced slalom C-2 from 9...

Re: River Elf Storm Chaser
Thanks for all of the input, advice and discussion guys. Our intention would be to develop a boat that would have some flexibility in cockpit arrangement (for and aft) to accommodate a wide range of combined paddler weights and allocation. Of course no single boat can fit all scenarios, but as a sur...

New Storm Chaser Model and Updates from River Elf
Hi C-Boaters! I just wanted to give you guys a quick update on what's happening at River Elf: After a bit of a delay, we finally started production of our narrower (small-medium) version of the Storm Chaser in June of this year. See the link below for details and pics of the new boat: http://www.riv...

Re: River Elf Storm Chaser
Thanks for the input Mary. We're on the same page with you guys - definitely designed more as a river runner and we're thinking along the same lines with the narrower bow similar to the Small and Medium SC and the smaller cockpits. I'm not sure we'd want to go too much shorter than 12' though - just...

Re: River Elf Storm Chaser
Thanks Adam. Our thoughts are something designed off the Storm Chaser - so definitely a rec design - think "storm-chaser-built-for-two". It would have the same round chines, higher volume, etc and probably around 12'-13' long - yet, also borrow from modern slalom C-2 design with a slight continuous ...

Re: River Elf Storm Chaser
Thanks for taking the time to post that very kind review Mary! You are indeed the first woman to order a Storm Chaser and we really appreciate your perspective on the boat. We're hoping more lady cboaters will now have a chance to try one of our new smaller version boats. Thanks again to all of you ...
