Re: Creeking in an Ion (or anything small) vs. L'edge?

... The Ion like the Blackfly has a very flat bottom. Just for reference... here's an upside down CUFly. https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/296980_2373929595023_1454060222_2621348_1942635760_n.jpg I've also found that the crown ...

Re: Spanish Fly, Ion, or Blackfly??

I have considered a C-1, but really want the challenge of the open boat. The cost is not specifically an issue, so the Blackfly seemed more the direction I wanted to go than the CUFly. Oh the decisions...

Re: Spanish Fly, Ion, or Blackfly??

An alternative suggestion not on your radar but an OC playboat that is capable of handling a larger paddler would be a Robson CUFly. While not as good of a boat as a Blackfly for playing the CUFly does surf and play pretty well and you can pick them up used in good shape for a pretty ...

... version (the one stolen at US Team Trials). I agree with Bob that it has a better balance to it. It is much faster than the BlackFly, Salsa and CUfly. The BlackFly handles well and is available in plastic, but I think in the Kaos I will be able to perform McNasty's and Orbits once I learn to ...

The Robson CUFly is by far the superior ww-canoe....

... it's low and slicey bow and stern, uber-bomber stability, ability to carry a multitude of adult beverages and with it's short platform the Robson CUFly is by far the superior whitewater canoe to use for fishing. https://www.ubersports.co.uk/product_images/uploaded_images/gr-robson-cufly.jpg
