Just a note, have seen a lot of post saying they put X amount of boats on top of specific vehicles--any vehicle can carry multiple boats as long as you have the long bars for the rack. Its not a matter of the vehicle being capable of hauling the boats, its a matter of the rack being capable of hauli...

You could make any paddle a breakdown buy just buying a breakdown kit, which basically consists of the ferule. You could buy 2 kits to make a three piece breakdown. This could be done with basically any paddle as long as the measurment of the ferule and the shaft size matches. Other than that I don'...

How about a new Forester, do they have the same rails on the roof as the Outback? Or can you get an outback w/o the factory rails? I have an older Forester and like it. Plenty of room to sleep in the back for me and I'm 6'2". As for bar spread, i used to have an extended cab Ford Ranger and carried ...

I've only been to a couple of Nationals, but of those I've been to this one was top notch. Well run, awesome course, pretty good weather ad the team races that were put together at the last minute were a blast. And the fact that the downriver wasn't a flatwater race was great. Well done Midwest crew...

Heres my thougts on the boat, in my limited time in it and not fitting the outfitting idealy. The boat is actually pretty quick and obviously in the decked version very dry. I rolled it once and it was still fairly dry. because I was sitting a little high in it until I got used to it the edges they ...

Now don't take this the wrong way but fat floats. What I am saying is body fat actually helps your bouyancy. So if you are 6'2" and are 260# but most of that is muscle than I would consider a high float PFD. If that 260# isn't a large amount of muscle, most of us have body fat, than I wouldn't worry...

Just think about how much your LIFE is worth when buying these items. Look at Stohlquist, and Kokatat for PFD's- most will be over $100. Helmets- I would recommend WRSI, and they are affordable. Good luck in the class, remeber its suppose to be fun so don't get frustrated if things don't come togeth...

I have a drytop that was just real wet in the arms, it didn't stat out that way, (the drytop was maybe 3 yrs old) so I sent it in to have l...

Havent seen many other open boats at the races though...a few at the bend oregon race and the most was at the missoula ra...
