I'm 190 lbs. and I like the smaller Outrage because it's quick and nimble so I think you will like the Outrage X. The Esquif Nitro and Detonator seem slow and dry but I havn't paddled them enough to give a fair evaluation. A couple of freinds of mine who are big guys swear by the Dagger ...

... is solid and it's a lot of fun up to class IV (me)/V (so they tell me) whitewater, and they make bigger variations. You could look at the Esquif Nitro (11.5' long), but might want to consider an Esquif Blast outfitted solo (13' long). Not sure which of these would be the best boat for you - you'd ...

I'll be there

I'll be there for a least a few days of boating. Will have the new Esquif Zoom on hand, probably a Detonator, Nitro, and Blast, as well. Stop by the booth to say hello. Will also be camping at Battle Run. Feel free to use the Esquif booth as a C-friendly meeting place at the Fest. ...

Mike, just scrolled down and saw your post, do you want to fix the worn edges on your Nitro? I was on the Gatineau during the festival 2 weeks ago and all the Esquif boaters (as the Gatineau is in QC, there were tons of them) had fixed the worn edges of their boats ...

Congrats!

Hey, good job. I just completed my first OC1 roll last weekend. I have an Esquif Nitro, I'm finding it hard to initiate the roll. I actually completed the roll in an ocoee, a much lighter and more responsive OC1 with respect to rolling (or at least I found that) ...

OC1 ankle blocks

I'm fairly new to ww canoeing and am fine tuning the outfitting on my Esquif Nitro as I go. I recently installed ankle blocks, they are fairly high, 4", I'm 6'5" with a size 11 foot so I figured that I could grind them down if they weren't working for me. I used ...

... hours' drive out there and involves (for me) finding a ride (which shouldn't be too hard, given the people I work with). I'd really like to try a Nitro and maybe (depending on who I bring with me) a Blast. I've been a little distracted recently and not really keeping up with this place, but I ...

RE: Nitro vs Detonator

Hi Camille Just wanted to make a quick comment - the one performance characteristic you won't get out of the Detonator or Nitro is edginess - that double chine structure has no grab. It's pretty unstable initially and then really stable on secondary, if that's what you were meaning. ...
