Re: Esquif related questions? Let me help

. . . Spanish Fly: dunno,.dont think so; Prelude: yes, will be manufactured in the UK. TFormex: All are now being made in TFormex. . . Thanks for the response, Sabrina! I think we all hope that TFormex will enable Esquif to be successful, and get production back up to speed for WW boats, as well as...

Re: How MITH can save tandem whitewater canoeing.

Canoeists are a traditional bunch... some might say obstinate, in the face of change. When it comes to canoeing, we’re slow to accept anything that might challenge our knowledge or lack thereof. . . First, Paul, your MITH concept is excellent. I will use it in our next course. Thanks for many solid...

Re: Esquif related questions? Let me help

Hey Sabrina et al

Other than the L'Edges coming out of L L, is Esquif going to bring back the other PE hulls they've made previously: Spanish Fly, Prelude?

And what's happening with T-Formex for whitewater boats: Spark, Vertige-X, etc.? Any movement?

Thanks
Rick

Would be very interested to know why you love it, Wendy. Review please!

Given the DZ's specs, would love to know how, in your opinion, the DZ compares to the Option

Thanks

Re: Ledge or octane

. . .I've paddled the Drop Zone too. At least the demo I paddled was as wide and stable as the Octane 91 . . . Thanks, boatbuster! Comments elsewhere say that the DZ is prob'ly a better boat for a bigger guy (given the width and stability) -- wondering how much you weigh (not to get too personal)? ...

Re: Ledge or octane

Thanks for all the info, and particularly Aaron's comprehensive review. Good stuff.

Only thing that's missing is a comparative review of the Dropzone, by some who's paddles all the others.

Anyone???

. . . If we meet I owe you an adult beverage - a good one from wherever - your choice!. . . I'd take a tot of Screech when we meet in person -- not because you owe me anything, (which you don't,) but just because canoeing friends like to drink to pointed boats and the people who paddle them....

Buy from a fellow boater, by all means. But let's put away the flags.

. . . Eh, sorry. . . Well done, Ken! You're advancing quickly! Next lesson -- bring your rope, 'biners and pulleys, and we'll practise ZED drags. . . I asked about your size and boat preference, so we can find something that fits you. When converted to Americanese, I make you out to be around 5' 10...

. . . say "sorry" all the time even if it is the other guys fault. . . . . . and if it is really the other guy's fault, you can always go to the hospital and get your hurt feelings checked for free. See you in January. Let us know the dates, and (I assume you're not driving) IF you need pickup at t...

Re: BC Whitewater

. . .Would Vancouver Island do it (much cheaper real estate there). . . Well, RK, as a retirement project, I moved to the Island, after 45 years in the BC Interior. Now I paddle 70+ days a year. Within 30 minutes' drive from where I live (between Victoria and Nanaimo,) there are 4 great Class II - ...

. . . Now I buy foam without the skin. . . Not sure why you would buy foam with the skin on in the first place. Rare times I've bought small chunks from our canoe dealer, and I've never been offered pieces with skin on. Nor would I accept them if they were offered. More often, I've bought foam by t...
