Want to Buy - Esquif Raven, Nitro or Detonator

I'm primarily looking for an Esquif Raven, but also interested in a Nitro or Detonator.

I live in Northwest PA 16701, willing to travel a reasonable distance +/- 3 hours.

Feel free to message or call me if you have what I'm looking for.

Thanks Ed

Re: Esquif Zephyr for Big Guy?

... for one thing, and I'd like something that will carve more aggressively. I was hoping the Zephyr would fit the bill, but maybe I need to wait on a Nitro. Still interested in hearing any feedback from a larger paddler who's taken a Zephyr for a spin. Thanks again, everyone.

Esquif Zephyr for Big Guy?

... looking to get better. I have a beat up Dagger Genesis at the moment, but I've been keeping an eye out for something more modern like an Esquif Nitro. A Zephyr just popped up locally, though, and it's a great deal... I'm wondering if that boat will perform for a 250-260lb paddler. I think Esquif ...

Re: Paddler Weight for Esquif Detonator

I know two paddlers in that weight range that paddle them and seem to do just fine. I don't think it's until you're over the 200-pound market that you start thinking Nitro.

Re: Getting the young ones out in open boats

I bought a used nitro and outfitted it tandem for use with my 8 year old. We have paddled multiple days on CIII and even III+ water. It's a great way to go.

Re: Solo Canoe Advice.

... Vertige. I opted to keep the Vertige for tripping for the increased carrying capacity and comfort (wider knee spacing) Anyone paddled a Vertige or Nitro? The Vertige is a great boat for WW multi day trips but far from great if looking to play down the river. Anything else is probably a better choice.

Re: Question for the SOB's

... 11, Probe 11, or Ocoee are now considered "long" boats, but they are great designs that have quite a following, as do the Esquif Detonator and Nitro. You could also consider a composite boat. You might come across a Millbrook Shacho or Blink on the Saint. A Royalex whitewater boat that has ...
