Re: Green Narrows OC-2 Gorilla descent
Rad. Not the cleanest turn through the notch, maybe a octane would make that move a little easier? Good job out there. Now I wan't to see and OC-2 run of spirit falls on the little white.

Re: Waterfall record?
I don't think getting hurt is a disqualifier. As long as they stay in their boat I think it counts.

Re: What is a broken boat worth?
let me rephrase, once a boat is cracked it's been compromised and no longer legit for use on class V. On the majority of rivers using a cracked boat will be fine.

Re: What is a broken boat worth?
Once a boat is cracked it's been compromised and is at far greater risk of breaking again, basically at that point your only paying for the outfitting.

Re: Smelly Drysuit !
Don't soak it, I've been told that seam tape delamination happens when the inside of the suit stays wet for prolonged periods but I've only heard that from a few people. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but smelly dry suits happen. Hang it in the garage/shed/mudroom and never bring it in the hou...

Professorpaddle Ball 2012 PNW whitewater
It that time of the year again! Festival season! And the Professorpaddle Ball is right around the corner. That’s right time to grab the girl/boyfriend, gas up the van and drive to an exotic location for a weekend of kayaking, fun, races, events, beer, ping pong, bonfires and camping. If you’ve never...

From the post title I was afraid this was going to be pictures of your new groover. As nice as they are I don't want to see pictures of them.

Re: drysuit question
Get the zip tech sipper lubricant for the zipper and use it every few trips or so, it will help the zipper last and prevent the zipper from tearing. Also once you let the outside of the suit dry fold it inside out to allow the seam tape to dry. I've been told in the past that seam tape will delamina...

Re: Why do Open boaters whine so much about kayakers??
I think it might have something to do with the swim ratio. I won't pretend that I paddle with OC boaters, mostly because I haven't seen many in the Pacific Northwest, and the only C-1er I know runs spirit falls on the little white and I've never seen him swim. But as an outside observer and former S...

Re: Elbow Pads - sixsixone?
I've never used those ones in particular, but my advice is to go with one that is made of hard plastic that covers the elbow and forearm. My friend had a model similar to those and found that they were only good when he didn't have a drytop/drysuit on, the fabric moved around a lot and there are no ...

Re: Drysuit Seam Tape
So I found the seamtape, it's made by McNett. Seattle Fabrics sells it by the yard, it sounds like a good price but I have nothing to compare it to.

Drysuit Seam Tape
So my Drysuit has turned the corner from full-on-drysuit to My-butt-is-wet-at-the-end-of-the-day. The biggest thing I've noticed is some of the seam tape is starting to peel back, so my question is; what sort of adhesives should I use to reapply the existing tape? Should I remove the entire strip of...
