If you like a flat planning hull and edges, I am with Smurf, Everest. I recently also saw a big Dagger Mamba 8.6, it might also be worth looking at?

Re: everest Vs Stomper

Stomper is semi-displacement, rounder hull with softer edges and continious rocker. Everest is a planning hull, flat and lots of edge. Remix is a planning hull with less edge then the Everest, but more then the stomper from what I have seen. From what you said you like and wanted, the Everest would ...

Re: Smelly Drysuit !

Do not leave it hang where there are any solvents, gas fumes, heat, etc., if you want your gaskets to last. I let mine hang loose in a dark closet, when not in use and it smells great! I do rinse and squeeze out the neoprene collar and wrist sleeves, as I think that is where it can get smelly.

Re: Skeeter in Colorado For Sale

Okay, paddle seaon is here, bumping this up and willing to barter. What a great boat for Colorado this season, you sure don't want to be in royalex. Don't miss this Frankie hubbard classic! Not many left around the country and surely not in as good condition as this one!

Re: gunnels holes in wrong place

No drinking or mind altering susbstances while working on outfitting!

It must bother you or you wouldn't have posted this. Why not add the same holes on the other side and make it symetrical?

Re: The Great[ly Ignominious] C1 - OC1 Debate...

Well, you guys have given me something to think about: old boat designs, squirts, downriver, etc. For me, C1ing in a current designed river runner/creek kayak seems easier than OC1. It did take me a while to get the feel of C1ing, but now my Ocoee feels big and Kraig's L'Edge felt very strange...

Re: The Great[ly Ignominious] C1 - OC1 Debate...

As a one-time OC1er and still am on occasion, I can say that skirts are for sissies ;-0. Really, I am pretty much done with lugging a big a$$ OC1 around, dumping it, and taking chances on harder runs that I don't need to. Plus, OC1s are more expensive and take up a lot of room in my garage. At least...

Not sure about your exact application, but do not trap wet contact cement or vynabond on royalex.

Re: Red Can needs a friend.

For fitted foam pieces I use Marine Goop. When gluing to PE, I sand to rough up and wipe with alcohol for a better bond.

Re: Asking about water proof Cameras

I have a Pentax Optio W80 that I got as a discontinued model last year. My thoughts: 1. Tested very waterproof and rugged 2. Battery life is good 3. Very Rugged 4. Nice and Compact The Less Good: 1. The Picture quality is not the best, not bad but not great. Low light performance is its biggest wea...

Re: Helmets

I must be stupid, I have a Strutter and it has been a great helmet. It fits great, has taken a beating and has held up well. Personally, I like the bill, it helps with our bright sunshine and keeps water out of your eyes when it is raining. As Craig said, it does not protect the back for your head o...
