Re: LF canoe in CA
Sierra Outdoor Center in Auburn, CA had a Rival for sale as of late last year. Might want to give them a call.

Re: How do you dispose of old trashed Royalex hulls
Post it on a club list serv or Web site as free boat, needs repair. People will take anything if its free. I did that with a Viper 12, and it was like a feeding frenzy. People were begging not to give away the boat to someone else.

Re: L'edge Lite - “Guillaume-fitting”
I don't have a reason for adding thigh straps. I'm sure it's a stupid idea. There, now we don't have to have another dull debate about canoe outfitting.

Has anyone successfully added thigh straps to the L'edge?

Re: Ok, my turn to ask for OC roll help
As a former Ohioan, I couldn't help but notice your post. The main thing you are not doing right is that you are not finishing the roll. You should be doing what you are doing at the end when you had to use the kayak for a bow rescue. At that point, you continued to roll up with your hips. Since you...

Re: Nor cal open boaters? Resources??
I think that Sept. 21-22 is the date of the Mokelumne races, which would mean at least one less person, maybe more. As far as esprit's question about hooking up with boats, there is a Rival at Sierra Outdoor Center in Auburn. Maybe they would rent it. That would be the only store that I know of in t...

Re: Nor cal open boaters? Resources??
I would be interested in running Chili Bar and the Gorge on the South Fork American near Sacramento, weekends. If we can get three open canoes, that might count as an armada considering how few open boaters there are in CA. Email me at john 1 zillion 2000 at hotmail.com. It would be cool to do a spr...

Re: how easy to fit Dagger pedestal in Prion Pure?
Just out of curiosity, how do people convert their Prijon Pure boats to C1?

Re: how easy to fit Dagger pedestal in Prion Pure?
Yes, I might try and outfit the Pure eventually, if I can figure out how to secure my Dagger pedestal in it. I was hoping that someone might chime in saying they outfitted their Pure with the Dagger saddle, and it worked out OK. Otherwise, I may probably try something simpler first, like the Jackson...

Thanks, Larry. Too bad, the Pure looks like a good boat.

how easy to fit Dagger pedestal in Prion Pure?
Has anyone tried to retrofit a Prion Pure into C1 with a Dagger pedestal? I am looking for an easy conversion, looking at buying a Karma, installing Jackson outfitting, but then again I have a Dagger pedestal that I would like to use, and the Pure might be a good boat. Thanks.

Re: Couldn't wait for phiend any longer
I paddled a Spanish Fly once, thought it was a great boat. Just curious if there are any Jackson playboats that people have found paddled like the Spanish Fly? Superfun maybe?
