Re: foot pegs - or no pegs?

if its of any help... I've used a hacksaw to cut the bottom 1/3 of the footpeg to be able to slide feet under. sand the corner down, and works well.

Re: Covert vs Rebel Handling?

Narrow boat. Wife is @ 135lbs paddles it very well. Buddy at 150 lbs has been really enjoying. And I'm at around 200 lbs... also been really enjoying. Seems like 225lbs is upper end of weight range, based on waterline

Re: Covert vs Rebel Handling?

Faster, drier, and less edgy than a Viper 12, better feeling stability, imo. Since it's less edgy than a Viper 12, that creates a more forgiving feeling to it. Other than the modern design, this marks the first time that an 11ft+ boat has been produced in PE. Which grants durability, thus giving it ...

Re: Covert vs Rebel Handling?

In a nut shell. Rebel wants to shoot straight. Long boat river runner. Narrow and Fast as all hades. Dry and Maneuverable for a long boat, but not as agile as a Covert. Edges and Stability feel close with both. Rebel has slightly less primary than the Covert, both have great secondary. Rebels came o...

Re: Gnarlz Outdoors in Costa Rica

Esprit bought all 4 Coverts from us, they now reside in Costa Rica permanently. They will most likely have other SB models come this winter... as they seem to have been the boat of choice for most that went down there this past season. He already has Lèdges, a blackfly fleet, and various kayaks. To ...

Gnarlz Outdoors in Costa Rica

Got another video to share with you guys - from our week down in Costa Rica with Esprit. It does a great job of showing and painting the whole experience. Not just a whitewater trip. Gotta hand it to the Jim Coffey and his crew.... they do one hades of a job with service and logistics. https://www.y...

Re: Team Silverbirch USA

Thanks guys! It was a whitewater canoeing video that sucked me into the sport 10 years ago, so I know it works, and try to continue to increase ww canoeings presence this way! We just got back from our Costa Rica trip with Esprit, have about 200 gb of footage to go through... what a great trip that ...

Re: Silverbirch Creeker

Nothing yet on specs or name - but they are working on it! Just got back from a week long trip in the UK to paddle and test out the prototype. Felt real good! Edgier than a Covert, more volume to blast holes, faster acceleration but lower top end speed. Emphasis on primary stability. Here's a video ...

Re: Frankie

Yeah yeah Kaz. You should be mentioned here too... anyone who dedicates their life to getting out canoes for people to paddle has my respect. Certainly not an efficient way to earn a living, so its can only be fueled by love of sport. It's why we're all still posting on cboats.

Re: Frankie

F was revolutionary in his ideas for sure. Essentially paved the way to where we are now. With that being said some of the boats that have been designed lately - clearly have new modernized features. Cuts in the rails for tracking and speed, increased tumblehome, camber in the sidewalls for stabilit...

Team Silverbirch USA

Just got done putting a compilation of team footage together, mostly from the past year that we've had SB boats in the states. Figured some of you guys might not see it otherwise... some good stuff from some good paddlers in great boats. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PGb4korlII" onclick="window.o...
