Re: Asking about water proof Cameras

Thanks for the input, The pictures look great, green grass in the back ground with clear boating action in the front. Those boaters were dress for cold conditions.

See ya on the river

Re: Asking about water proof Cameras

This is the one I'm looing at. It looks like they make some improvement (base on discussion) I'm no expert. Thought this might make it easier for those who know about camera I noticed there was no lens cover, they bragg about a protective coating, wonder how well that holds up. I would travel with a...

Re: Asking about water proof Cameras

Thanks for the input, The W1 is a new verison I guess, it has 14 mp and alot of other good stuff, sounds like they made some improvement over the last couple models. I think I might get it.

new boat for beardedcanadian

The best boat for you (beardedcanadian) or any paddlers new or experienced is the Rayge, you can find it on Millbrook Boats web page.

Well thought I was done, but then again. Measuring at two points from center would be more realistic to all boat hull. Some are flat for a while then near the ends really turn up. So measure a perpendicular dimension at A and C a certain distance from center would be best. Still tell boater were the...

Ya I do now Kaz, Sorry I've been away. We almost have it. Starting from the center would be ok for me. I think we should measure were A is, but not the way Craig design it in the picture. From the line on the bottom were the letter A is measure perpendicular (90 degree) vertical. Then say were the s...

Below is the formula I started and with more insight on the topic. I have left out were do we start the measuring. I thought about it, using water again which seek its own level. So Theoretically were the water hits the hull is a level line, we need to create a parallel line above or below to do som...

Noticed my fingers typed the wrong word earlier. That funny too. If we’re to create a forum, should we give paddlers an ideal how the boat may perform for different styles, longer stern verse bow in reference to were one sits, may describe the performance of the canoe. Create vertical and horizontal...

I've never paddled the Rumba. Would like to try it sometime, then I could compare the two. Its lite and I'm no spring chicken, so I like that. Oh ya they're both lite. The Rayge is a lot friendlier then it looks and still preforms great in hydraulics. Maybe I could try a Rumba the end of October!!!!

Thanks for the input. Since I'm a carpenter, I was thinking it may be for structural reasons, but it sounds like some performance is accounted for in the design and does have an effect, good or back depending on technique or style of boating your doing.

illregular chimes on canoes

I curious. Why are people making the chimes with groove instead of a smooth ones. I would think it have a negative affect on hull performance, but I'm not an expert.
