Re: Big Dog Force OC1 review
. . . the Force is the easiest rolling OC1 since the old Dagger Quake . . . TGG! Thanks, Gonzo. Makes sense, as its design was based on a kayak hull. :o That said, I should be asking you how the Force compares to mutually-known C-1s. How would you compare/constrast ...

Re: Big Dog Force OC-1
... behaves exactly the way I expect it from a creeker. The boat boofs great, got good speed for it'e length, rolls just as easily as the old Dagger Quake. After a roll there are an estimated 6" of water in the boat, which could be reduced by adding more foam to the cockpit It's got excellent primary ...

Re: Thoughts on a Mohawk Probe 12
... sportier than the Probe 12 would be boats like the Probe or Viper 11, Raven or Outrage. If you want a more stable plastic boat you could try a Quake or Spanish Fly.

Re: L'Edge Hull Material
You also may be comparing apples to crab-apples. The Quake seems to be considered one of the toughest of the plastic OC-1s. Every Quake I've seen has been built like a rock, but I'm not sure why. The one I had would abrade but not leave any plastic ...

Re: ALF Question
Plan to be there. Last time I brought three boats (Probe 12 II, Taureau, and my wife's Quake). Ended up paddling the Quake on all trips. Was trying to sell the Esquif boat and not sure what I would need. Consider your selection and broaden your horizons if you be borrowing!!! ...

Re: New Boat...
... would be hellish. I wouldn't say hellish, exactly. While it definitely isn't a tripping boat, it is faster than you would expect. Faster than the Quake I had and my playboat C1, but clearly a little slower than an Option/L'Edge. Just as much fun as any of the long boats, though. Maybe even more, ...
