Trip Report / Instruction with Eli
Just wanted to post a trip report from the weekend. 4 of us took a class with Eli Helbert on Saturday on the Nolichucky. There were 4 places where we had to portage over ice, and several places where we slid over smaller iced over sections. The level was around 1100, and with it just under 4k now, I...

Ive been in one
My hopes were that it would be a big Prelude. But I didn't find it to be that way.
I don't think it has as much rocker as the prelude. I wish one of the pics posted in this thread had both boats sitting upright, with one on top of the other.
They are beautiful, and well made boats.

A common mistake I see with instruction all the time is that instructors often overwelm students by trying to fix too many things at once, leading to frustration both parties involved. It's best to teach/learn, when someone tells me to work/focus on one or two things at a time. I see this all the ti...

I paddled Big Laurel alone last weekend, it was spectacular! Didn't see anyone paddling, hiking, or even hunting, no one. While I love paddling with others, there is nothing like the zen of paddling alone. Obviously, I would never paddle alone on something I'm not very familiar with, and have a good...

New Price - $650
Had the boat "sold", but the buyer has backed out.
I am heading up to the DC area for Turkey day and can bring the boat with me if anyone up that way is interested.
