The deck plates were removed to create a nice scoop for pulling enders, correct? Makes enough sense to me. Maybe some testing is in order, once it gets a little warmer, of course. :P

Wavesport Z C1

Recently picked up this boat, but my ankles will have none of this C1 business. Boat has some miles on it, but it is solid. Fully outfitted with a lap belt. Also have a like new mountainsurf kevlar skirt to go with it. $400 or best offer Send me a message with your email and I'll send you some photos.

I wouldn't say he wants us to play so much as he would let us play.... :-? But honestly, I could care less about a freestyle/rodeo event held in some remote corner of the world. I would take a local event with average joe paddlers competing right there with the pro boaters over that in a heartbeat. ...

Adding yet another question to this thread, how does the stability of a Prelude stack up against a Spark?

Thanks for the info Kaz and ezwater!

ncdavid, I'd call that guy up in a heartbeat if it wasn't so far away....
Breaks my heart to see an ME broken, and I would love to give it a good home.

With any luck finding materials, I will have some new gunwales done by the end of this week!

And, you'll be relocating those thigh strap connections to pads below the gunwales, no?? I can not say "yes" loudly enough to that. Ever since I got the boat, I have thought the gunwales was a funny place to attach thighstraps. Now I know not only is it funny, but weak. Time to bust out some...

New Gunwales for an ME

On the bright side of things, the weather/water levels were great for boating in Maine this past weekend. Boated friday and saturday and had a great time both days. Now for the bad news. Paddling my ME on friday, I got off line on kenduskeag stream and got an up close and personal look at a pretty b...

I've paddled this boat as a kayak and I have to say it is very tippy. It was pretty hard to keep upright as a k1, I can't imagine that it would be much fun as a cboat...

Nice looking rig. When I've taken a fire bowl camping out of a sea kayak I have used something like this. Like a veggie steamer without the holes in it. Yours looks like it would be much more suitable for cooking real sized meals on... [img]http://www.funkyleisure.co.uk/ekmps/shops/funkyleisurel/ima...

I usually just toss mine out in the sun... They also have some holes in them which I'm sure helps. As long as they are in a place with some airflow, they should be good to go. Make sure you don't forget em in some kind of gear bag.... I have a friend who I make put his boots in the back of the truck...

The release mechanism on the pilot is a squeeze and pull type deal.... I think it would be very easy to use unless you couldn't see it, were in a rush/panic, or were wearing gloves and could not get your hand all the way around it. It is also made of plastic, so it will wear down/out eventually and ...

@TNbound: The Rivermate looks good. What about the blade, is it sharp on the upside? I wonder how you get between your skin and a rope or such with a double-sided sharp blade. Is that an issue at all? The rivermate does not have a double blade. It does thin down on the spine of the blade, but it is...
