Who wants to paddle Saturday & Sunday? Mel? Anyone?
I'll get there very late Friday night. I plan to camp at Turkey Creek. Look for a blue GMC extra cab. No racks. The Big EZ will be down in the bed.

I didn't even take it off of the truck.
Jim, Ocean surfing is a blast. While I was at OBX the surf was very small & there was only a beach break where I was. I was scared to take the Viper out in that. I did take the Big EZ out one day to play. How did the Viper take those nose dives into the sand? :o I did that once in my Cascade. It rea...

WOW
I can't wait to get my hands on one of these :P . I've been useing Zav. paddles for racing flatwater for years & they rock. Those are a bit fragile for whitewater use though  . If this blade is tough I'll have one. It is odd that they don't mention the weight on the web-site. I guess I'll just ...

Bow to the master!
Sir Adam, you are my hero If I counted correctly, that's a heck of a bunch of boats!
It's good to see that you walk each one every year. I did that last year. Today I walked the Viper It's funny to watch the reactions of the fishermen when you stern-squirt that baby

I thought I had a bunch of boats. I now realize that I don't have that many. And Sir Adam has not even entered his fleet. Here's what I have: Viper C-1 :D Cascade C-1 Big EZ converted C-1 Probe 11 OC-1 Old Town Scout OC-2 Wenonah Marathon OC-2 That's only six. The question is not "haw many is too ma...

Thoughts on my new Viper
I finally got my new Viper on some whitewater today. Everyone was very interested in the boat. :) I guess I'm adapting to some of the "funny" stuff it does in current, because it didn't seem to bother me as much today. I need to figure out how to handle the boat when it goes through waves instead of...

kneeling thwart
Hey Jim, a kneeling thwart is (in KNeal's boat anyway) a 1x4 board running across the cockpit. The back of the board is 3.5" in front of the back-rest. I found it super comfortable. I had a problem in my Cascade of my butt coming off of the seat when I rolled. I would end up sitting on the combing. ...

What a day.
Hey Kneal, I see why you didn't know that I was coming. The e-mail that I sent to you on Friday got bounced back to me today. I'm glad that you walked up as the deputy was telling me that there was to be no swim event. I really appreciate being led (most of the time :o ) down the James for my 1st hi...

thoughts on the Big EZ
I have a Big EZ C-1. This boat is a hoot on steep waves. Flatwater squirts & bow stalls are easy. On an eddyline, it'll throw 2 ends without an initiation stroke :P if you do the hip thing right. It is the easiest boat that I have ever tried to roll. While not as stable as me Cascade, it is stable e...

I'll help
Hey KNeal,
Count me in for Sunday. I just got in from work & it's too late to call you tonight. My Cascade is a great safety boat. Can you send me directions from I-95? Or you can call me at 252-230-9948.

Don't paddle the Viper alone!
It took a little while to figure out how to stern squirt the Viper today :-? . It doesn't get up as easily as my Big EZ. Once I got it up it stayed up as long as I wanted it to :D . All I had to do was keep it spinning & it stayed up till I got dizzy :P . That is a WHOLE lot of boat to stick up in t...

If you want to see how fast a Cascade can go click on "Snow". What's this about a database for converted boats? I've only...

"you darn quick desicion boat buyer!" Hey, y'all told me that I needed a Viper. Jim let me try his at the Armada & I was sold. So I had to jump all over the 1st one that came up for sale. I will definately bring it to the next Armada & flaunt it! :P Everyone can try it out then. Jim, we'll find a go...

Which glue for foam to 'glass?
I got a Viper :D !!! (thanks Dave) Today I ripped out some old foam & made nice, new ankle blocks & foot pads. Which glue should I use to stick 'em in with? Do I need to sand the boat 1st? Also, this is my 1st glass boat. Yeah, the conspiracy to convert everyone to 'glass just got another one. How s...

yeah, I'm slow
Last summer I had the chance to swap boats on the river. My Big EZ-C-1 for a Big EZ-K-1. I found the K-1 version to be much more stable & much faster, even though I do not paddle K & found that whole off-set blade mess bizar & un-natural.
