I think that north waters Mike yee inspired outfitting is great however I would have to agree with who ever said they dont like the placement. If you are buying the boat with outfitting I would not have them glue it in just do it yourself an the boat will fit you fantastically then and you cannot co...

Hey- I have been OC boating for a couple of years and certainly when I first started I would just swim if I didn't feel comfortable in the water, Now I try as many rolls as it takes. A buddy of mine with his 30 plus years of OCing has tried 57 differnt ways to roll, with that being said . I actually...

I for one find that taking simple class two water and putting some gates all around it makes for a fun and challenging event. having the event on class three continiuos water I think may limit some peoples desire to go and participate. when consequences increase so does the sphyincter factor. I am n...

I have been paddling a nitro for several years, as far as the royalex is concerned I have beet the living poop out of it. I rarely take care of my baby except for a little resin now and then and some 303 lovin. I seal slide off 10' sharp jagged rocks and still come out fine. as far as the performanc...

Hey solocanu- I have paddled all three of the boats we have been discussing here the nexus the Vertige x and the caption. I think the Nexus is slow stable and dry. carves well into and out of eddies. however, I think I will agree with everyone here when they say the Vertige is closest to the caption...

Hey arent we all supoosed to be having a little fun here. It is really funny to see all these posts about boats and what to do with them. I thought that the funniest was the third post where the " guest" ( who doesn't have enough gull to sign in and tell us who he/she is) said that by the time we ma...

Yeah IO read the article and I am from Montana and was up there. I agree that it somewhat paints a drunk picture of us OCer's but at the same time it shows how much fun we have we take the sport seriously but we still can sit back and laugh and have a good time. bottom line we had a blast and someon...

Paddler Mag pics
Hey just got the newest paddler and there is a picture of an OC-1 dropping what appears to be a huge slide intoa very narrow slot. My oc buddies and me have been debating what the rest of the falls look like. So does anyone have a picture or can you desribe these falls well? And soes anybody know if...

the howler is a blast to paddle. I have only paddled the Kev. version and it is sweet. John does a good ob of building his boats. Some other boats you may want to consider would br the Nexus from BELL , or the Vertige x from esquif. Nexus is a great boat that a strong paddler can manuver witha newbe...

the nitro is not fast compared to other boats, but once you get it up to speed she doesn't slow down. I find my self a little behind in some flat water when paddling with friends in Ocoee and Prodigys but that flat plaining hull is a dream on a monster surf wave all you have to do is sit and surf . ...
