I would try stabilizing around the saddle area first. I would make a bulkhead for your knees and take out the straps. This would take the pulling pressure off the hull some and extend the life of the boat. I would also dynel on the bottom under the saddle with gflex. The downside this will add weight.

Cascade price reduced

Dagger Cascade for $160.00 with airbags and two spray skirts they fit on but not tight. The boat has a crack that has been repaired on the side and so far has held. Repaired using gflex and dynal. Dumping some of my whitewater gear going to be paddling less for the next few years. For and extra $50....

I loved my Detonator. In fact thats why I wore it out thats all I paddled when I had mine. The boat was fast and caught eddies like a dream. I found it both great for creeks and big water runs. Yeah mine wore out, but I got it used and the boat current owner still loves with its many repairs.
