Do it

I was paddling with Julie Keller when she first got her Rival. She got spun backwards in a rapid and pitoned the stern on a rock. It's darn hard to put skid plates on when there's a fist-sized (hers, not mine) dent there. I've got Kevlar felt on the Viper and it's been solid for 16 years. I just rou...

At 61

I've dialed it back a smidge, not that I ever was much of a hairboater or player. But I didn't start paddling until I was 40, so I have some time to make up. And I have a Slasher coming in a few weeks. :D What's really fun for me is to take a bunch of college kids paddling and wear their butts out. ...

Shin blocks

are even better than ankle blocks. They support your whole lower leg and don't put excess pressure on the front of your ankle, which isn't built for pressure.

OK, I'm an idiot

There seem to be 2 Hatfield PAs. The boat is actually near Philadelphia. Anybody going/coming that way?

Boat transportation W. Penn. to Southeast needed

I'm in Athens, GA, and a boat I want is in Hatfield, PA, near Morgantown, WV. If anybody is going near (defined loosely) either of those places or the Nantahala, Chatooga, etc and has space for a C-1, I'll spot you some gas or some of your favorite beverage.

TIA,

Hard to tell

from the pics, but they might be bentshafts. If not, they might have a standard T-grip. Beef it up with another layer of glass and it might work.

She seems to be quoting the shaft length

which is actually a more important measurement than overall length. Too short for me, I like a 37. :(

I've got a line on a plastic C-1 in Boone, but I can't manage the drive. Anyone headed this way?
