... The Stomper's take of course being "what would happen if you took a Jefe, and added some nice subtle rails"... I'm looking forward to testing ... but provisionally the Stomper 90 is on the list with the Nomad and Jefe Grande as a my perspective next creekboat. It looks like it would make an ...

... of it... Plus, until someone makes a C1 that's verifiably better than a Jefe Grande, Remix or H3/Burn/Everest (depending on what you like) convertion why bother even considering

I'd convert a Jefe or Jefe Grande, it took me a long time to work it out, but it does need the saddle to be lower and very slightly further ...

I'd say Jefe Grande, Nomad or Remix. Granted, I'm not a fan of boats with rails as creekers, it's much less forgiving on landings ...

Witness the ****ness!

I've just seen a 2' by 3' hole In a Nomad fixed with the bottom of a Jefe Grande hull, some West Systems Epoxy, a blow torch and a butter knife. To make matters worse ...

Nope. I didn't feel like I could handle it as well as the Burn.
But since I found three cracks in the Burn last weekend, and that Jefe Grande is still sitting in my yard, maybe I'll have to give it another chance.

CR 250 C1

My main C1 is a CR250. I weight about 205 lbs. Started out in an Atom. The CR250 is much slower than an Atom but is very stable, a great surfing boat and more forgiving. I have also used the CR250 for some easy creek runs but recently bought a Jefe Grande for creeking.

unless you're creeks are solid 5 to 5+ I'm gonna vote burn. It's a great boat and a blast to paddle. It never bites me in the butt like my friends jefe does him.
the jefe grande is massive for your size.
I don't know anything about the mamba.

... I guess. At your weight a Mamba 8.0 would do you well, as would the Jefe (though it's twitchier than it's big brother, which played a part in my reccomending the Grande...) if you're aiming to run lots of steeps and can bear to part with the extra ...

Re: Need help for a C1

Just my 2 cents worth: liquidlogic jefe (250$ higher than others) Good but $ liquidlogic jefe grande Good but a bit big for your weight pyrhana burn medium Good but twitchy for a first C1, hard rails ...
