WaveSport Score C1 -Sold!-
Selling my WaveSport Score C1 with M tunnel skirt (a little faded from pool sessions). Outfitted with North Water thigh straps connected to a single pull release which releases skirt and straps in one pull. I've been paddling this boat pretty exclusively all year. I absolutely love it but moving on ...

Re: Jackson 4fun c1 for 200lbs paddler.
Just an update for anyone searching the forum for info on a 4fun conversion: I outfitted my 2010 3rd gen 4FUN and took it out for its first paddle today. I only have previous experience in C1's with a Liquid Logic Airhead and a Wavesport Score. I paddle a L'edge as an open boat. I hated the Airhead ...

Re: Fluid solo large comparison
Thanks for the replies all! I think I'll stay away from the solo, doesn't sound like what I'm looking for regardless of how cheap it is. Maybe Ill get myself a tie dye karma!

Re: Just bought my first canoe
I highly recommend Tom Foster's Open Canoe technique Video. Teaches you how to carve your way down the river instead of using speed killing correction strokes. http://whitewatervideo.com/TomFoster.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; As well as this video from Madawaska Kanu Center whi...

Re: Fluid solo large comparison
Larry what boats have you converted? Have you paddled a L'edge and if so which one most closely compares to a L'edge in your opinion?
Thanks for your reply.

Re: Converting Jackson boats
Not suggesting that you use the Jackson factory C1 outfitting but it is just thumb screw bolted to the plastic track and slipped under the U channel after the u channel has been trimmed a bit to accept it. I have no experience with this but would expect the existing plastic channel to be strong enou...

What did you weigh when you were paddling the Superstar?

Re: Fluid solo large comparison
Definitely let me know how you like the Karma! I don't really want to get rid of my L'edge but do like the skirted thing now that I've been paddling my score conversion. I wouldn't have enough room or use the L'edge enough to justify keeping it if I were to find a Creek/river-running conversion that...

Jackson 4fun c1 for 200lbs paddler.
I have a Jackson 4fun k1 that I'm thinking of converting. I'm 200lbs and the max recommended kayak weight is 220lbs. Is this too close to the top weight range for a conversion. I've been mainly paddling a score c1 this season and was 220lbs at the start of the season. Im curious to see how a more mo...

Fluid solo large comparison
Anyone paddled a fluid solo large? Looking for characteristics as related to a heavy L'edge. Looking for the same feel but hopefully with faster acceleration and at least close to the same secondary stability. I love my L'edge but thinking of turning my back on the whole open canoe thing for a while.
