Hi Einar, Could be twitchy for a larger person, I'm 158lb and find mine fast and stable. Why not keep the Viper 11 as well? At least until you have made you mind up with regards to your new Prelude! Oh and don't make the mistake I did and buy one of the old triple layer ones, it lasted 3 rivers! Sho...

Repairing triple layer plastic!

I have one of the old, old Preludes. (Now with a huge split in the outer layer.) It is a triple layer plastic. Can I heat gun it of will this mess up the foam core?

Help, I'm not the sort of paddler who avoids rocks!

Cheers,

Kelvin.

Why oh why didn't you post this a month ago!! I have just got my hands on one of those orange early preludes. Wrote it off today on grade 3, big hole in stern, 8'' split in hull. Bugger! Josh has one of the blueish ones and as he says, it's holding up well..

Hi Shep, Although there is often no right or wrong way to roll some ways certainly work better than others. Your roll looks very much like Paul Masons in 'Thrill of the Paddle' This roll works for some but for most it is very difficult to stretch for the surface with the shoulders facing the bottom,...

Hi Shep, Ok, a few things for you to consider. Let's look at your 'set' position first, then I am going to add a quote form some feedback I gave Tommy on his roll as I think it is important and could help! In your set position your shoulders face the bottom of the pool, in this position when you rea...

Hi Shep,

I've got some suggestions but I would like to see your roll shot from the pool side/bank first.

Pop some footage up if you've got it.

I think a critique section for videos would be very useful.

Hi tvann,

I used one for about a month: great forward stroke, nice flex in the shaft. There was nothing else I liked about this paddle, the man problem is all the ridges on the blade. This makes any knifing of the blade very sluggish and noisy. Most likely ok for C1 playboating.

Gutted,

I've been trying to convince people for years that OC1s don't look like bathtubs. Then came the Ion, in pearl white!

Nice one Jeremy! Keep up the good work..

Erick, Some lines are just wet mate, no way to stay dry. Just drill huge holes in your hull like James. Only joking! For most UK rivers you can get out and dump quicker than a pump can do the job. For your local runs that I will be taking you down in France this season you may want to consider one! ...

How many different Preludes?

Hi Folks, I have now seen three different Preludes, my mates is a Savage one with a very flat bottom, it's made of a triple layer plastic. My 'new' boat is an old Pyranha one flattish bottom triple layer plastic, very shallow. And another friend has a Pyranha one single layer plastic quite rounded b...

Jeff,

I'm around the same weight and got rid of my 69 as it was too floaty! 79 would be MASSIVE on you!

Hey Tommy,

Cool photos! Not taking anything away mate but those are rapids and slides not drops. Lets see some air time! Had a dig around and I don't have any photos on drops. I feel a Scotland trip coming along!

Happy hooking,

Kelvin.
